STEP--St. Louis Park Emergency Program STEP responds to our neighbors in need by providing access to vital services that foster stability. STEP provides the following services:

1.

Food Shelf: provides the most nutritious and culturally-appropriate food available to clients 1-2 times monthly.

2. Clothes Closet: provides no-cost gently used or new clothing.

3. Emergency Financial Assistance (Homelessness Prevention): provides help with housing expenses based upon assessment by STEP's social workers.

4. Transportation: provides rides to medical and food shelf appointment

5. Seasonal Support: provides gift and food support for holidays, back to school, birthdays.

6. Crisis Support and Referral Services: clients can meet with STEP social workers to identify how other needs can be met and talk through issues affecting their lives.

The public housing two-bedroom waiting list is now open!

The St. Louis Park Housing Authority has opened its two-bedroom public housing waiting list and will close the list on Wednesday, June 17 at 4 p.m.

Applications will be accepted online only during this period. To apply, visit https://housing.slpmn.us. Translation is available in 60 languages. Applicants must meet income, eligibility and preference requirements.

The one-bedroom public housing waiting list will open on Monday, June 29 at 8 a.m. and will close the list on Wednesday, July 1 at 4 p.m.

Welcome to our newest staff member, Julian! He is originally from Phoenix and moved to Saint Paul in 2020 to attend Macalester College, where he studied Environmental Studies with a focus on food and agriculture. Previously, he worked as a Farm Steward at urban agriculture nonprofit Youth Farm and, more recently, as a Food Pantry Specialist at VEAP.

In his free time, I enjoy cooking, trying new coffee shops, and exploring the cities.
