While our amazing team in Costa Rica was hard at work building a new brick oven for Ester today, our team back home in Minnesota was busy testing out new ideas in the kitchen!

Nancy had the absolute pleasure of learning from Sarah Patterson—baker extraordinaire—who taught her the art of making delicious, fresh bagels (and made it look so easy!). They each took home a batch and tested out some incredible pizza sandwiches, too. 🍕🥯

Why all the test baking? We’re always looking for fun, delicious new ways to host pop-up sales and events to raise funds for future ovens in Costa Rica. Whether we’re laying bricks in the field or firing up the oven at home, we’re all working together toward the exact same mission!

We officially wrapped up our LAST BAKE OF THE SEASON in St. Louis Park! It was a total fast-paced whirlwind with 140 loaves baked, packaged, and out the door! 🥳

A huge shoutout to Tasteocracy MN by SAM Sensory and Market Research for sponsoring this event! We could not have done it without you!! 🙌💙

Our favorite moment? A first-time customer drove 15 miles for one mini cinnamon loaf, only to message us 10 minutes later saying she ate the ENTIRE loaf in her car on the drive home! Honestly, once that smell hits your car, resistance is ZERO! 🤤😍

Let's get caught up! On Friday 8/14, we helped Bill Manning and his twin brother celebrate a milestone birthday! What was super cool was that Bill and his wife, Liz, won our mobile oven pretzel party in last year's Oktoberfiesta live auction. At their party, they not only offered pretzels to their guests - they raised money to build an oven for Julia Valverde Carrillo! A true celebration with purpose! The Colorado trip was a total success! The team wrapped up training by hosting a full mock event, putting their new mobile oven skills into action alongside amazing industry experts like Chef Casey Stickfire Pizza and fellow Minnesota pizza enthusiasts.

Now, we’re looking ahead! We are so excited to start brainstorming ways to bring our mobile oven right to our local community. Our vision? Partnering with local organizations to host events with a purpose—combining delicious food with an opportunity to share our mission and support incredible causes, starting in 2027!

The crew is having a blast on day two of mobile oven training with Fire Within Mobile Ovens! Yesterday was all about experimenting and getting creative—including testing out some delicious homemade calzones!

Today, they put their skills to the test by catering a live event alongside a team from Minnesota, complete with a secret mystery ingredient and a custom event theme! Stay tuned tomorrow for a look at their creative creation, and get ready for some amazing new culinary skills coming back home!

Our team members Sarah, Sarah, and Nancy are currently in Colorado soaking up wisdom from the absolute experts on all things mobile ovens from Fire Within Mobile Ovens! They're having a blast diving deep into the business side of things, getting their hands dirty prepping dough, and watching seasoned owners show off their skills. Between making awesome new connections and eating plenty of incredible pizza, they are gathering tons of inspiration to bring right back home!

One of our favorite goals this year was partnering with another local crew that loves giving back, so we teamed up with the awesome team at Alexandria Industries!

Since their manufacturing crew works 24/7, we fired up our brick oven early Wednesday morning to bake fresh, warm pretzels across four different shifts. No strings attached—just showing some love, sharing warm snacks, and connecting with a team that does so much for Alexandria.

Huge thanks to Alexandria Industries for having us and supporting our mission! ❤️

We are still buzzing from the incredible momentum of last Sunday's pretzel bake with Calvary Lutheran Church!

We ended up serving a grand total of 800+ PRETZELS across both services!

A massive shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers who brought so much energy and heart to bake, roll, salt, and serve. We couldn't have pulled it off without you!
