Last weekend, Nancy had the joy and honor of speaking across four services at Wayzata Community Church (WCC), giving thanks for half a decade of shared faith, friendship, and support with our friends at WCC!

We are deeply grateful for the hands and hearts at WCC that help make this mission possible!

Josefina and Laura are continuing their journey, connecting with incredible women and visiting potential partners as they look at prospective sites for future ovens.

Every conversation is a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do; sharing in the strength of these communities and dreaming up what's possible together!

Josefina and Laura have been out visiting some of our wonderful bakers - checking in on their businesses, offering a helping hand, and sharing some love! We are so lucky to have local staff who are deeply invested in seeing these women thrive every step of the way!

Safe travels, Marjorie and Ana Grace! ✈️ 🇨🇷

As Marjorie journeys back home to Costa Rica, we are reflecting on what a gift her visit to Minnesota was. She radiated joy everywhere she went and was so deeply touched by the kindness of everyone in our Bricks to Bread community. She leaves with a heart full of gratitude for each and every person she met!
..And maybe a new lifelong obsession with Costco. 🛒

Thank you to everyone who made her trip so unforgettable! Please join us in wishing her and Ana Grace smooth and safe travels back home!

When the Huebner family traveled to Costa Rica to help build Marjorie’s oven, a lifelong bond was born. After the excitement of Oktoberfiesta, that connection came full circle when Marjorie spent five days with them in Alexandria, Minnesota! 🌲✨

Stepping into a new country without speaking the language takes incredible courage, but the Huebner’s opened their home and showered her with love like family. From sightseeing around Alexandria to sharing everyday moments, Marjorie got to experience the very best of local life.

This is what Bricks to Bread is all about! We build ovens to create economic opportunity, but the lasting cross-cultural relationships built along the way are what truly change the world!

Thank you to the Huebner family for hosting Marjorie and showing what global community looks like in action!

Just dropping a few more of our favorite moments from Oktoberfiesta into your feed. Looking at these smiles reminds us once again how incredible this community is!

We are endlessly grateful for everyone who showed up, celebrated, and supported our mission. You all made this night unforgettable!

We are still over the moon! 🥳✨

Looking back at these photos from Oktoberfiesta 2026!, our hearts are completely full. It is truly mind-blowing to think that together, right here in our own backyard, our community came together to raise over $86,000 (and counting!) to help women and families build sustainable futures and break the cycle of poverty.

While we set our sights high with an ambitious $100k stretch goal, reaching $86k is an incredible achievement that gets us so close and means so much! Because of YOUR generosity, show-up energy, and relentless support, we are bringing real, lasting change to so many lives.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and cheered us on: THANK YOU. We couldn’t do this work without this incredible village behind us. ❤️🍞

More photos to come!!
