One thing people often don’t realize about Toastmasters is that every single meeting gives you different opportunities to practice and grow through a variety of meeting roles.
Here are just a few of our rockstars from this past Friday!
Andrew had his maiden voyage as Toastmaster of the Day- a role that includes creating the meeting theme/topic for the week, guiding the flow of the meeting, managing transitions between speakers and roles, keeping energy high, and much more. Great job, Andrew!
Laura took home Speech of the Day honors! One of the best parts about Toastmasters is that members write and present their own original speeches, often sharing personal stories, lessons, humor, or creative perspectives. Winning Speech of the Day means fellow members voted her speech as the standout presentation among several talented speakers.
Sanford won Table Topics of the Day! For many members, Table Topics is the favorite lighthearted part of the meeting. You’re asked a random question on the spot and challenged to think creatively and speak confidently in the moment. It’s always entertaining and a fantastic way to sharpen quick-thinking and communication skills.
These are just a few of the many roles and skills you can develop through Toastmasters. Congrats to all of our winners and participants!
