🥁🪘👏Please join me to welcome our newest volunteer Perrin Practitioner, Audrey Chan. She comes with an immense depth of knowledge. Thank you, Audrey, for spending some of your precious time with us. We are so lucky to have you. 🙏

Audrey is a certified and licensed massage therapist, with training in lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, fascial therapy and Shiatsu. She has special interests in dietary and food therapy focusing on a holistic approach as a whole. She became a licensed Perrin Practitioner in March 2026.

She values nature, community involvement and sustainable living. She has always volunteered in her community for decades.

"I want to support people living with debilitating diseases, e.g. ME/CFS, with limited resources and help them regain self-care abilities, empower them to rebuild confidence and reclaim their lives."

I appreciate your long wait. After a month of technical difficulties and editing work, I can finally share with you the recordings of the Rooted in Hope Concert.

Our sound production company, Diamond Lake Production, kindly trimmed the concert livestream from 2 hours down to 1 hour, which makes my editing and uploading easier. Thank you!

You can find a one-minute concert highlight video, as well as the concert recording on the clinic YouTube Channel.

Enjoy!

Today is our Day to tell the world that you are still struggling with ME/CFS. You are too exhausted to eat, bath, cook, see your families or friends, work, etc without paying a price of losing a lot of your energy.

Please know that we hear you and are in solidarity with you. MECFS Clinic MN and all of us will continue to do our best to get more providers and therapists to help you.

If you can, please send the letter below to Health and Human Services to advocate for yourself or your fellow community members. Stay strong. Believe.

MEAction is at HHS today for to educate officials and the general public about what's at stake for disabled people under Medicaid Work Requirements.

Right now, HHS has the power to protect tens of thousands of lives.

Despite being one of the most debilitating chronic illnesses, ME/CFS and Long COVID are at serious risk of being left off the "medically frail" exemption list, which means our community could lose our health insurance the moment Medicaid work requirements kick in. That is not acceptable.

We speak from lived experience. We know our community's needs. And we know we are not alone.

To every disabled person, every chronic illness community, every person who could lose coverage under these requirements: We see you. We stand with you. If your community is part of the "medically frail" population, we support your fight to protect Medicaid for the most vulnerable among us.

HHS is expected to finalize its guidance to states on "medically frail" exemptions by June 1st. That deadline is coming fast.

The time is now to educate, ask, and demand that HHS do the right thing.

📣 Share this. Tag your community. Make some noise. Sign our letter to HHS. https://www.meaction.net/savemedicaid

After the Rooted in Hope Concert, it is time to assist your care team to better help you!

Let’s kick off the next project of our free clinic. We will host a virtual conference for providers and therapists to identify, diagnose and treat ME/CFS in their respective areas of practice. The speakers will share practical tips and things to avoid when caring for people with ME/CFS.

Scan the QR code or go to mecfsclinicmn.org/conference to register or for more information.

Rooted in Hope Concert Encore.
The concert photos taken by our professional photographer, Danielle and Diamond Lake Productions are available for viewing! Thank you again for your wonderful job!

You can find more photos here: https://clients.diamondlakeproductions.com/4DpymHLJK6Ank. Hi-Res and Web sized downloads are available for free and custom prints/books can be made via the shop within the gallery.

Do you miss the concert? I do, honestly. It brought so much energy and meaning to our ME/CFS, Long COVID and Chronic Lyme’s communities. I would like to experience that again. Would you like to see a Rooted in Hope Encore Concert in April 2029? Please write your thoughts in the comments of this post.

Our concert planning committee was small but mighty, with a few volunteers helping us on the day of the concert. My deepest gratitude to all of you:
1. Stephanie Siddiqui
2. Lisa Neitge
3. Chris Wexler
4. Andrea Sorum
5. Audrey Chan (concert volunteer)
6. (concert volunteer)
6. Kristen Coulter (concert volunteer)

And, don’t forget our artists. There will be no concert without them. Thank you!
1. Christine Seeley (artist who painted the lotus used in the concert flyer)
2. Stephanie Siddiqui (performer)
3. Dave Dvorak (performer)
4. (performer)
5. Andrea Sorum.

The video should be coming. Keep you posted. The Rooted in Hope Concert page on my clinic website has been updated to document this special event. https://www.mecfsclinicmn.org/rootedinhopearchive

Okay! I tallied up all the donations from auction items, on site donations, etc. We pushed past the goal of $6000 to at least $8550! OMG! THANK YOU everyone!!!! 🙏🙏🙏.

Not only does the clinic not need to lose money by hosting the concert in a premier venue and hire three people doing photography/videography/livestreaming/sound/lighting, but has a cushion to use 100% proceeds to continue helping our patients. I never believed this would happen, honestly, and have planned for the clinic to chip in money for this concert for a good cause, which is well worth it because you all demand to be HEARD and SEEN! I am humbled by your generosity, kindness and helpfulness. 🥰

Many thanks to all of you who have made this concert possible! Facebook scrambled all my alphabets when I tried to list everyone’s name! I guess I caused their software to go nuts! LOL!

Some of you asked if we would organize another concert next year. That is not in my cards because the following projects in 2027 demand my attention:

1) The virtual conference of ME/CFS on Practical Pearls, Jan 21 to 22, 2027
2) An introduction to craniosacral (instructor: Janet Berryhill), Aug. 14 to 15, 2027.
3) The Perrin workshop in Minneapolis, Sept 10 to 12, 2027.

May be down the road, we will do a concert again. Who knows?

Lastly, Billy Hanlon recorded a clearer version of the news segment yesterday. I am not sure if would put it up on their website because the event has passed. Thank you! We made a big splashed with this concert!

One of the lead reports on last night’s 5:30P newscast in the Twin Cities highlighted the Rooted in Hope Concert, which raised awareness and funds for ME/CFS & Long COVID Thank you KSTP & Renee Cooper, .bsky.social & all who contributed / supported!

This is an unofficial video provided by Andrea Sorum taping from KSTP livestreaming tonight. Sorry if it is a little blurry. Andrea's performance was phenomenal. Thank you Stephanie Siddiqui, Rattle and Hum and Dr. Dave Dvorak for their heartfelt and earth-shattering performances. Thank you to all your support. 71 people came to the venue and 40 people attended via live stream!!!

I apologize for the livestreaming problem and will post the recording and still photos as soon as they become available.

Folks, did you enjoy the concert?

KSTP channel 5 in MN will report this Rooted in Hope Charity Concert for ME/CFS, Long COVID and Chronic Lyme on their evening news TONIGHT at 5:30 and 6 pm, something like that. Stay tuned. Thank you Billy Hanlon, KSTP and Renee Cooper for bringing awareness of these misunderstood diseases to the world!
