The October meeting of the Old Glory and Oriole Landing Homeowners Association, Inc. (HOA) was held Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at 6:00pm in the Oriole Landing common area.

Board members in attendance were:
Josh Meyers – President
Brian Read – Vice President
Rick Mongello - Architectural Committee Chair
Debbie Petrow - Treasurer
Marty Reynolds - Secretary
3 additional homeowners were also in attendance

Financials:
HOA will pay the invoice to Seasonal Elements for work completed on the entrance signs of both neighborhoods. Still missing HOA dues from a number of homeowners. The board will begin to place liens on homeowners with unpaid dues. HOA dues can be paid on-line via credit card, on-line check payment or a check can be mailed to the HOA PO box. For a copy of the financial status report, please contact the Treasurer at [email protected].

Old business:
- Updating the entrance signs for both neighborhoods has been completed, HOA will pay the invoice to Seasonal Elements.
- Old Glory Flagpole light sensor was fixed
- The three drainage areas may need clear-cut again in 2022, board has funding set aside for this effort. Estimates are in the $1,200 range. Need to discuss with Mr. Bowen on his plan for annual/bi-annual maintenance.
- Plan to hold off on gazebo repairs until the spring meetings where a vote can take place.

New business:
- There have been complaints from residents in Old Glory that people are not cleaning up after their dogs. Please use common courtesy and clean up after your pets. Discussions of adding a trash can in the common area to help with the disposal of pet waste.
- Insurance rates have increased.
- Suggestions from a homeowner to install a basketball hoop in the common area. Will discuss at the December HOA meeting and bring to a vote. Some concerns over insurance coverage and potential issues this could bring about.
- Possibly updating liens on home owners who have not paid HOA dues.
- Potential community event planned for spring/summer of 2022 to encourage HOA participation amongst the community.
- Halloween is Sunday 10/31, please be safe driving through the neighborhood as we get a lot of traffic from outside of the development during that time.

Next meeting will occur in December 2021. Specific date and time will be announced in the coming weeks. Board will discuss 2022 HOA dues at that time and bring to a vote on whether an increase is required.

Hello Neighbors. We have the page set up so that you can post on it, but it appears it disappears when you do. We are looking into this. In the mean time, if you have had good service with a painter, power washer, carpet cleaner, roofer, or anything else you'd like to share, please comment below. Also, if you are offering free stuff that somebody in the neighborhood might want, you may comment below also.
