We are incredibly excited to announce that we are partnering with Lions KidSight to offer FREE vision screenings for anyone in our community during our 2026 Joe Expo! 🦁✨Check out the event for time and location.
Vision is a critical part of how we learn and interact with the world, yet many vision issues go undetected. By teaming up with the Lions KidSight USA Foundation, we are making high-tech, touchless screening technology available at the Joe Expo to help ensure no one—especially our children—is left behind.
Why Is This So Important?
Learning is Visual: According to experts, 80% of learning is visual. If a child can’t see well, they face significant hurdles in the classroom.
1-in-3: Statistics show that 1 in 3 young children have poor but correctable vision, often simply needing a pair of glasses.
Early Detection is Key: Vision problems that go undetected by the age of 7 can sometimes lead to permanent damage.
Screen Impact: With the rise of "tiny screens" and digital learning, cases of myopia (nearsightedness) have spiked, affecting nearly half of all children in recent studies.
How It Works:
Screenings use advanced touchless technology, meaning no physical contact is required. It’s fast, non-invasive, and can identify risk factors for conditions like amblyopia (lazy eye) in seconds.
1-17yrs will need a parent to fill out a consent form.
18+ are encouraged to get screened too!
