Spooky Season + Roots Music? Yes, please!

Get your costumes ready, because The Box Factory for the Arts is hosting a genre-bending Halloween night you won’t want to miss!
On Saturday, October 31, from 7–9 PM, the incredible Folk/Americana duo Bobcat Opossum (Ellen Coplin and Sean Hoffman) takes the main stage. Emerging from the Midwestern wilderness, they bring a captivating blend of storytelling, gorgeous vocal harmonies, and multi-instrumental magic inspired by Irish, bluegrass, old-time, and classical music.

• Award-Winning Talent: Sean’s song “Kissin’ In The Rain” won Folk Song of the Year at the Naptone Awards.
Watch them effortlessly swap between fiddle, cello, guitar, piano, and concertina. They’ve shared stages with big names like The Steeldrivers, Shovels and Rope, and The Steel Wheels.

Thank you, community!
We are still smiling after an absolutely incredible Art Jam night at The Box Factory for the Arts.
Our hearts (and hands) are full after coming together to create beautiful fiber art, dive into some relaxed doodle-and-drink sketching, and construct vibrant collages.
The Box was filled with the perfect rhythm thanks to Phaseshifter Records spinning incredible tracks, and our bellies were kept happy with phenomenal food from KT Rasoi.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who stepped through the doors. Blending creative expression with meeting wonderful new and old friends is exactly what makes this community so special.
We couldn't do it without you, and we can’t wait for the next one!

Box Factory on Halloween Night!

ST. JOSEPH, MI — Guests are invited to join the Box Factory for the Arts 1101 Broad St., in costume this Halloween for a genre-bending night!

Ellen Coplin and Sean Hoffman of Bobcat Opossum will take the Box Factory Stage on Saturday, October 31, from 7- 9 PM. This Folk/Americana duo with a love for harmony singing, the outdoors, and a song that tells a good story emerges from the back alleys of the Midwestern wilderness to provide an unforgettable night that draws inspiration from Irish, bluegrass, old-time, and classical music!

“What’s In The Box?” on
Friday, October 16, 6-8PM, at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St.

Step inside the Box Factory and join the fun! Grab a “passport” when you enter, and
collect stamps from a variety of Make & Take Art Stations for a chance to win a prize a the end of the night!
These stations, manned by professional artists with a laissez-faire
approach, will include collage, textiles, rock painting, drawing, and more!

Our Annual Member Show is nigh! Are you a Berrien Artist Guild Member? One of the perks of BAG membership is the opportunity to submit two pieces to this annual non-juried exhibition.

This year’s theme is “Now and Then.” We’d like to see one current artwork paired with one piece from your artistic past! In doing so, we honor our own journey and get a peek at where our colleagues have been!
