This week was our elementary cheer camp! We had girls in grades 3-6 working with Coach Hollars and Coach Woods and our high school cheerleaders cheers, jumps, basic stunts, and teamwork skills while building confidence and school spirit.

The last three afternoons Coach Banks and her high school players (along with other adult helpers πŸ˜‰) have been hanging out with our elementary girls basketball camp. They have been practicing their basketball skills as well as learning what it looks like to compete for an Audience of One! The last three days Coach Hook and his high school players have hosted our elementary boys basketball camp! They have had a blast learning basketball fundamentals, getting to scrimmage, and best of all they have had devotions each day from Coach Hook on playing for an Audience of One! They have learned what discipline means not just in becoming a better basketball player, but also how that translates to walking closer with the Lord!

Our 6th grade girls CHAMPIONSHIP game was between the SJCS Lions and the Cameron Dragons. Cameron came out to a quick lead, but the Lions tried to claw their way back into the game, but the Cameron offense was just too much for the Lady Lions. Cameron wins the game 29-21. A huge thank you to both teams for participating in our league and we wish you the best in your many years of basketball ahead!

We had the 3rd/4th grade Swish Bowl game between the 3rd grade SJCS Lions and the 4th grade St. Joseph Defenders. The game was even but the Lions eventually pulled away at the end for the 21-6 victory. Congrats Lady Lions on your Swish Bowl Victory!

This 3rd/4th grade girls division Elite bowl Championship game was between the SJCS 4th grade girls and the Savannah 3rd grade girls. What a great game that went into OT with Savannah winning 20-18!
