Our most heartfelt & deepest condolences to the 1st Nebraska (Co. A) out of Omaha ( a member unit of US Muddy River Battalion of the 1FD) for the recent loss of one of its life members. Sgt Larry Angle passed away this past Saturday, he was an instrumental part of the 1st Nebraska organization for over 2 decades. We are so sorry for the loss of your pard & on behalf of the entire 1st federal Division please know that we mourn alongside you & offer our most heartfelt condolences. We are so sorry for your loss.

Good evening, gentlemen.



Just wanted to reach out and provide a couple of quick updates.



A quick message from the overall commander of the Perryville event but also a member unit of GAR.

First, our registrations are running behind the rebs. Can’t let them beat us, so make sure your unit commanders are beating the drum for signing up. Now that we’re entering the busy part of reenacting season, be sure to take the opportunity to spread the good word about Perryville as you attend events.

Second, there was a bit of a kerfuffle over the citizen side of things. Basically, there are people still upset about what went down in 2016 and are afraid of the same happening now. That’s been dealt with. Going forward, in order to stop the spread of ‘fake news’, inform anyone that asks that this event is under new management and that He That Shall Not Be Named is not involved in any way, shape or form. If necessary, refer them to me and I’ll be happy to speak with them and give them the facts.
