What is the St Joseph Booster Club
The Booster club is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is operated by a 5 member board of directors that consist of active parents of the St. In addition, there is a part time staff person employed to help manage funds and to keep the group organized. The goal of the organization is to raise money to exceed our schools fundraising goals and to encourage active
volunteer participation among parents and families of the St.Joseph Catholic School Community. Money raised by the Booster club stays at St. Joseph Catholic School with the goal of creating an endowment that creates a perpetual source of revenue for operating expenses related to keeping the school in top operational performance. The funding does not support scholarships or tuition reimbursement for attending the school. We find and source our money through grants, fundraiser events and charitable gambling. Interesting facts
The booster club was started in 2019 as a result of our school being required to complete our own fundraising. Years prior, an annual fundraiser called “spring spectacular” was held at the school to raise funds. After the creation and consolidation of schools under the umbrella of Catholic Community schools, the spring spectacular was renamed “Extravaganza” and was moved off site to St. Bens and lastly All Saint Academy in an effort to consolidate fundraising efforts. Unfortunately the benefit to St. The establishment of the non-profit organizational structure will prevent the fundraiser and subsequent funds from leaving the St. Joseph campus. The first annual Rocktoberfest was imagined at a meeting of active St. Joseph Catholic School parents in June / July of 2019. The entire event was planned and celebrated in 3 short months at the end of September. The goal of the event was to create a community event that reached beyond the pocketbooks of St. Joseph Catholic school families. Plans for the 2020 Rocktoberfest were put on hold due to restrictions placed on community events by the Bishop of the Diocese of St. Cloud. Once again the group came together and re-created a fundraising opportunity that didn't require community interaction. The Christmas Ca$h raffle was started and fulfilled the fundraising goal of the school. The Ca$h raffle continues today. In 2021 over 1,000 people attended the Rocktoberfest event. The event went over so well the food and beer started to run out early and members of the committee and the community rallied together to get more beer and brats to help save the festival!
