St. Joseph Retired School Personnel Association

St. Joseph Retired School Personnel Association We are a unit of Missouri Retired Teachers Association whose number one priority is promoting and preserving pensions and benefits for teachers and personnel.

We contact our legislators regarding bills that promote or harm our retirement and education. We meet the second Monday of Sept. and the first Monday from Oct. to May. Meet & Greet at 10:30 with light refreshments. Meeting/program 10:45. Held at Joyce Raye Patterson Senior Citizens Center. Membership is $5.00 yearly which supports a scholarship fund.

Mary Jo and I attended the MRTA Unit President Summit in Columbia. Our new Executive Director Maria Walden was introduced and the Honorable Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe was a speaker as well as a couple others. We attended six short seminars on MRTA’s committees. Thanks SJRSPA for this opportunity. Also we are thankful we were able to travel between the snow storms. 😁
