Our mission is to achieve immediate and lasting positive change in the lives in which we serve. After retiring from his almost two decades long career in major league baseball, Aguirre invested in the city of Detroit and its people. Striving to combat the lack of transportation and high unemployment rate, he founded Mexican Industries, an automotive parts manufacturer and supplier, in the neighbor
hoods of southwest Detroit where the majority of his eventual 900+ employees lived. Aguirre gave back to his community in numerous ways including offering cancer detection services at no cost for his employees, ensuring the construction of ball fields and playgrounds, donating funds to several youth empowerment programs, sponsoring the Special Olympics, funding scholarships, and many more. Aguirre’s untimely death from prostate cancer in 1994 left a huge void in the hearts of those who loved him, and the community in which he cherished. His legacy and spirit live on in those who continue to serve others with the same passion and dedication. embodies the vision of Hank Aguirre, and is dedicated to uplifting underserved communities and families in crisis with compassion and empowerment. With a commitment to social responsibility, we focus on providing essential resources and opportunities that foster growth and self sufficiency.
