This past August marked the first month Filipino students returned to in-person classes since COVID-19. Prior to the start of the academic year, Save Our Schools partnered with Lopez Elementary School in Los Baños, Philippines, and installed a 10-faucet hand washing facility.

With their new hand washing facility, Lopez earned a Wash in School star from the Department of Education. Further, the installation helps Lopez meet government mandates of 10 faucets for every 100 in-person students. We are confident that the hand washing facility will continue to provide sustainable health benefits for many years.

Thank you to our donors and partners who helped make this possible. If you would like to directly donate, the link is in the bio! The funds we receive help us improve school infrastructure and encourage science learning in underfunded schools in the Philippines like Lopez Elementary.
