✨💖SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT💖✨

The Marilyn Nelson Memorial Scholarship

This $500 scholarship will be awarded to a senior student who will be attending a nursing school upon graduation.

Marilyn Nelson had much respect for healthcare workers, especially those in the nursing profession, and she wanted to be a help and a blessing to someone pursuing nursing as a career. She was a graduate of John F. Hodge High School and served as a nurse/health clerk at her alma mater from 2008-2016.

“When you are a nurse, you know that every day you will touch a life, or a life will touch yours...”

Application is open to any 2025 St. James R-1 School District graduating senior with plans to enroll in a nursing school program at either an accredited college or technical school.

Applications are available at the counselor’s office and must be submitted to the high school office by May 1, 2025.
