After 19 incredible years… we’re closing out a chapter that has meant so much to so many. ❤️
Last night, we shared that Boating for Buddies will be coming to a close. While this is the end of an era, it’s also a time to reflect on everything this organization has stood for since those very first events in 2007.
Boating for Buddies began with a vision from Kim and her close friends—to bring people together and show up for others in a meaningful way. What started as a simple idea grew into something far beyond what anyone could have imagined. It all began by helping a family member in need, and it feels especially meaningful to come full circle by supporting a close friend who has been there since the very beginning, as we close this chapter.
Over the years, it truly took a village. From our dedicated board members—past and present—to our sponsors, volunteers, and this incredible community… you are what made B4B what it became. Because of all of you, we were able to support and uplift so many individuals and families.
While B4B started with Kim’s vision, it was the collective dedication of so many that carried it forward for nearly two decades.
To everyone who attended an event, donated, volunteered, or supported in any way—thank you. You are part of the legacy that Boating for Buddies leaves behind.
