Our summer intern, Diana, started this Tuesday!

Hello again Watonwan 4-H families! The third time is always the charm! Although, the last two years were also a charm. For those of you who forgot or do not know me, my name is Diana Sargent and this is my 15th year being involved in 4-H. I am so excited to return yet again as the summer intern! I just finished my third year at Augustana University in Sioux Falls. I am pursuing a degree in secondary education and English. In addition, I worked as the head seamstress in the costume shop at Augustana University’s Theatre department. When it comes to 4-H, it’s no secret that I love the program dearly! It had a huge impact on me growing up; I learned so many skills and met so many amazing people who influence my life and where I am going. I hope to give back to our 4-H community by serving as the intern, please don’t ever hesitate to reach out. I cannot wait to work with all of you and see you all at the fair!

✨Club Highlight✨

The Golden Gleaners, Nelson Wide Awake, and Rosendale Skippers continued the Veteran Flowers Project for Memorial Day.

The Veteran Flowers Project is done annually by 4-H'ers to honor our local veterans at the cemeteries by placing a flower markers by their head stones for Memorial Day. This project was originally started by a 4-H youth in Golden Gleaners that has now expanded to several clubs, multiple cemeteries, and hundreds of flowers!

Thank you 4-H'ers for honoring those who served!
