On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, our board attended the One St James meeting to honor our 2024 Spring Grant recipients. The St James Area Community Foundation awarded the Welcome Home Committee (One St James) for their project of providing information bags to new residents to St James in the amount of $1,936. We also awarded Crossroads Church $2,000 for their handicap lift project. We are honored to award funding to such amazing community projects. Thank you for your submissions!!

The St. James Area Community Foundation (SJAF) is now accepting grant applications! Grants will be awarded to community programs and projects that improve the quality of life and build a stronger community. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $2,500!

Programs and Projects that have been funded in the past include the "Save the Theatre" initiative, Christmas Lights, the Little Theatre project, Meadowlark Prairies projects, the Splash Pad initiative, community park improvements, and various community events!

Pick up your application today at Pioneer Bank or Ameriprise Financial in St. James!

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser today!!! The community support for the splash pad is on another level! We ran out of the bacon cheeseburger hotdish after the 1st hour 😁 And sold out the Mac & Cheese soon after!

A huge thank you to the Eagles for hosting us and preparing the delicious lunch, the Encore for the festive cookies, to everyone who donated or made items for our sale, Maggie Maire for planning and executing this successful fundraiser, all our Community Foundation board members for showing up today and hustling, the Splash Pad Committee members for volunteering, Thrivent Financial, and SuperFair Foods, St. James for bailing us out with extra Mac & Cheese!
