Fiddler on The Roof is well on it's way. Rehearsals have begun. Set designs are being created and yamakas are being crocheted. We need 25 and we have 7 more left to be made.

Importance of Being Earnest. The kids are in rehearsal, the final paint is being applied to the set, lights and sound cues. These kids have worked so hard. We have volunteers here, at the theater today helping with clean up, sewing tears in stage curtains and giving the kids encouragement.

AUDITIONS BEGIN NEXT WEEK!

ShoeString Community Players in cooperation with Music Theatre International Present Fiddler On The Roof directed by Tom Weaver.

Winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof is the brainchild of Broadway legends, Jerome Robbins and Harold Prince; songwriters, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick; and bookwriter, Joseph Stein. Touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon.

Auditions will be held March 23-24, 2026 from 6:30 – 8:30PM at the St. Helens High School’s Olmscheid Auditorium with performances taking place in July 2026.
