St Helena Choral Society

St Helena Choral Society We produce & celebrate choral music in our Napa Valley community, contributing to artistic & cultural education for all ages with four fun choral programs.

Napa Valley's St. Helena Choral Society is led by choral director Craig Bond -- a local legend and career choral music director who has lived and taught in St. Helena since the early 1970s. THE MISSION of this non-profit organization is to produce and sustain choral music programs and activities in and around St. Helena and the Napa Valley. The Society was formed for the purpose of contributing to

the artistic and cultural education of people of all ages in the community. OUR FOUR VOCAL PROGRAMS

1.) The ST HELENA CHAMBER SINGERS, an adult chorus specializing in major choral works with orchestral accompaniment currently produces two concerts per year.

2.) The ST HELENA CHILDREN'S CHORUS, a choir for children ages 8 to 12, performs two to three concerts a year.

3.) The ST HELENA TEEN CHOIR, showcases local teenagers who perform twice a year in conjunction with the St. Helena Children's Chorus.

4) The JAZZ @ 7 adult vocal jazz ensemble has become well known in the Napa Valley, presenting three to five major concerts per year as well as many smaller concerts at local wineries. NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION SINCE 2007
Programs are funded primarily by charitable contributions, ticket sales, and individual membership dues paid by the participants. It is the goal of the Society to one day be self-sufficient in bringing the gift of choral music to the St. Helena community on a year-round basis. TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTIONS to the St. Helena Choral Society can be sent to P.O. Box 164, St. Helena, California 94574. Our Tax ID is 26-0526007. Visit our web page at StHelenaChoral.org for more information about our organization. Our sincere thanks for your continued support.

It is concert week for the St. Helena Choral Society! On Mother's Day, May 10th at 4PM, the kids of both our Children's Chorus and our Teen Choir will be giving it their all on the St. Helena Performing Arts Stage. We caught the Children's Chorus celebrating their final rehearsal earlier this week with ice cream! That's directors Melissa Bond and Craig Bond, sadly ice-cream-less, behind the kiddos.

Coming up...we sure hope you've gotten your tickets to next Sunday's "Americana Musical Jubilee" concert that stars the St Helena Chamber Singers, Eloquence Quartet, and some pretty wonderful musical soloists and ensembles — all coming together to celebrate 150 years of St. Helena community (and city-hood). MAY 10, 4pm: FREE ADMISSION. MAY 17, 3pm JUBILEE TIX: EVENTBRITE (link in comments)

It's ticket time! Craig Bond & the St. Helena Choral Society are delighted to present "An Americana Musical Jubilee" — a joyful celebration honoring 150 years of St. Helena, CA community! TICKETS: WWW.STHELENACHORAL.ORG

Please join us for a rousing show as we blend song with storytelling to bring St. Helena’s past vividly to life — and maybe tug on your heartstrings with some old favorites.

We’ll take you on a toe-tapping musical journey through some of America’s most beloved music — from the town’s earliest 19th-century days to our own era.

Through harvests and hard times, music has always played an important part in building community — expressing hope, marking milestones, and carrying forward shared traditions. Step into those bygone moments with us and experience the spirit of St. Helena.

The St. Helena Chamber Singers will be joined on stage by special vocal ensembles, Eloquence Strings, and a delightful array of acoustic musicians playing traditional American instruments.

This program was conceived by SCHS board member Shannon Murray Kuleto to blend history, storytelling, and music in a civic-spirited celebration of St. Helena’s 150th anniversary.
