There is a new story walk along the green loop at Awassa. Park at the trailhead behind the St. Germain Elementary School. The loop is 1.4 mi. This is a great way to keep kids motivated to make it all the way to the end of the hike:)

The story walk is a collaborative effort between Plum Lake Public Library, St Germain Silent Trails, and the St. Germain Non-Motorized Trails Committee.

Just a reminder that there are lots of baby porcupines moving around the woods this time of year. Saw this one along the trail here this morning. Another good reason to always keep your dog on a leash while hiking at Awassa!
