The Olive Osmond Hearing Fund is a non-profit 501c3, founded to raise deaf awareness and promote hearing educational services by providing others with the “Gift of Better Hearing” in honor of Olive Osmond, the matriarch of the performing Osmond Family.”

"We don’t just provide the gift of better hearing to our recipients. We intervene at an early age and help them get reconnected to their families, friends and life by providing resources, inspiring messages, experiences, examples and role models. We also help bring music to their ears by letting them know they have many options and opportunities to reach the skies and that the issues that are limiting these opportunities are not their hearing loss, but a lack of hope, fear of failure & inadequacies and fear of consequence and the unknown. We inspire and motivate these kids to be champions and that they are more than capable to reach their greatest dreams and aspirations in life. We educate our constituents and their families that they may have a hearing loss, but their hearing loss does not have to control or limit them. They are in control of their destiny and the kind of person they want to become."

One of my treasured memories was helping provide the gift of better hearing to thousands of deaf and hard-of-hearing children & adults in India through the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

My role was to counsel many of these children and teach them how to properly use, maintain, and care for their new hearing aids.

This picture taught me a powerful lesson:

“Give a person a fish, and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime.”

Giving someone a hearing aid can change a moment.
Teaching them how to care for it can change a life.

I didn’t just want to give these children something that would help them hear. I wanted to give them the knowledge and confidence to become self-reliant and to understand their technology, care for it, troubleshoot it, and keep moving forward.

Because sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone isn’t simply helping them today.

It’s teaching them how to help themselves tomorrow & forever.

Thank You mccarthy for taking this photo shot! :)

Over the years, I've discovered that most people genuinely want to help—they just don't know how. But a little understanding can go a long way in strengthening communication and relationships: So, if you’ve ever wondered what it's really like to live with hearing loss, here are five things I wish everyone knew:

In his newest blog written exclusively for Starkey, Justin Osmond (who was born with a severe-to-profound hearing loss and has been wearing hearing aids since he was two years old) shares five things he wishes everyone knew about living with hearing loss.

The Osmond Family musical Tribute has finally arrived at the PAC Theater in St. George. Our family couldn’t be more thrilled or grateful to see this special tribute come to life, a celebration not only of our family’s journey, but especially of my beloved grandparents, George and Olive Osmond, whose faith, sacrifice, and love made it all possible.
Part of the proceeds will benefit the Olive Osmond Hearing Fund in honor of my Grandmother Olive.
Come and enjoy some great entertainment and at the same time support a great cause!
See you there!

April is Stress Awareness Month đź’™

One thing that’s made a huge difference in my daily stress levels? My Starkey Hearing aids.

Before, I didn’t realize how much mental energy I was using just trying to keep up with conversations, missing sounds, or asking people to repeat themselves. That constant strain adds up.

Now, I feel more present, more confident, and less overwhelmed in social situations. It’s not just about hearing better—it’s about living with less stress and more ease.

If you’ve been putting off getting your hearing checked, this might be your sign. Taking care of your hearing is taking care of your well-being. 🎧✨

Valentine’s Day usually gets wrapped up in hearts, flowers, and romantic dinners. And don’t get me wrong—I love a good excuse for chocolate. But as I’ve gotten older, Valentine’s has come to mean something a little bigger to me. It’s about all the people who hold my heart: my beautiful wife, my kids, my friends… my whole crew of “valentines.”

And surprisingly, one of the biggest things that’s helped me stay connected to all of them? My Starkey Hearing aids.

Wearing hearing aids hasn’t just helped me hear better…it’s helped me to love better.

Enjoy this short article on how hearing aids have helped me to stay connected to the people I love.

Justin Osmond shares how wearing hearing aids has helped him stay connected to life’s best moments with family and friends—his “valentines.”

Today, on Founder’s Day, we honor the enduring legacy that Bill Austin has built over the past 65 years in the hearing industry.

I have traveled the world over many times with this hearing angel and have witnessed up close his leadership, his caring heart & his long-lasting influence and impact on the lives of thousands.

There's no one I trust more with my hearing than Mr. Bill Austin, founder of Starkey Hearing Technologies.

Thank You for being a beacon of light, love & hope to not only my family, but to millions worldwide.

One of his greatest contributions is the path he has created to build the next generation of hearing care professionals in the developing world. Please join me in celebrating our humanitarian, leader, and servant heart.

More than ten years ago, Justin Osmond ran 250 miles so 25 deaf children could hear & live better.
The hardest part wasn’t the distance—it was realizing how small acts, when fueled by purpose, can create life-changing impact.
We don’t all need to run hundreds of miles. But we can choose to show up, care deeply, and do something—anything—that makes the world better than we found it.
That run reminded me that real change doesn’t require perfection... just heart. We all have the power to make a difference and build a kinder, better world.

On a recent fishing trip with my buddies, I tried something simple that made a huge difference. I placed a small table microphone on the center console between us while we drove. With road noise, wind, and the hum of the highway, it’s usually tough for me to follow conversations in the car—but not this time.

This little microphone picked up everyone’s voices clearly and sent them straight to my hearing devices. For the first time on a road trip, I didn’t have to guess, nod along, or miss half the jokes and fishing stories. I was right there in the middle of the conversation.

It wasn’t just about hearing better—it was about being connected. Laughing at the right moments. Sharing stories. Feeling included. That tiny microphone turned a noisy truck ride into a real, easy conversation with friends.

Assistive tech like this doesn’t isolate us—it brings us closer. And on this trip, it helped make great fishing even better.

THANK YOU Starkey Hearing for helping us Hear Better & Live Better!
