AAUW- St. George UT Branch American Association of University Women (AAUW) advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. The St.

George Utah Branch is an extension of the National AAUW. Our mission is to help advance equity for women and girls in Utah through advocacy and education. We provide intellectually challenging programs for our community, scholarships for local students and a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Camp, named eSMART, for seventh grade girls. Our branch was founded in 1981 and is open to all graduates who hold an associate or higher degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university. We also welcome college students and non-graduates who wish to support our educational goals and activities.

Thanks to all the members who reached out to our communications team. The subject line in the most recent email was an invitation to an October lunch...OOPS! We meant November. Sorry for any confusion.

Hope to see everyone on November 2nd to learn how water shapes life in Southern Utah, from our yards and gardens to the way our community grows.

**Susan Harrington needs a little help!**

Kerry has stepped up to fill the Co-Secretary position, which means we now have just **one board position left to fill: Co-Chair of Finance.**

This is a manageable role when two people share the workload—and it’s a great way to get more involved, meet new friends, and support our AAUW community.

We know our members are committed to AAUW’s mission and willing to pitch in where they’re needed. If you’ve been looking for a simple way to contribute and help keep our organization thriving, **this could be your opportunity!**
