🇺🇸 Hey St. George — we're marching this Fourth of July, and we want YOUR kids to come with us!

Give Me Liberty students and youth ages 8–12 are invited to walk alongside the Liberty Bus or the Liberty Village float in the St. George Independence Day Parade on Saturday, July 4th. 🎉

It's going to be a day full of patriotism, community, and a whole lot of fun. Freedom, family, and faith — on display for the whole city to see.

On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved Americans received word in Galveston, Texas: they were free! It was a powerful moment in our ongoing national story, one where the ideals written into our founding documents moved closer to reality for more Americans.

The Declaration of Independence proclaimed that all people have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Juneteenth is a reminder that understanding those words—really understanding and believing them—matters. Knowing our history, including its struggles and its progress, is exactly what helps young people become thoughtful, engaged citizens.

America has always been a work in progress. The Constitution opens with a commitment to form a *more* perfect union, an honest acknowledgment that liberty is something each generation is called to learn, protect, and extend to their neighbors.

As a final reminder, and since many of you don’t yet follow Liberty Village’s post, we are having our annual Patriotic Service at Tuacahn Amphitheater TOMORROW , June 14 (Yep, Flag Day!) to kick off the summer patriotic holiday season.

“Happy” is the wrong salutation on Memorial Day, a day where we honor all those who have given their all and sacrificed their lives in service to their country. Although the memories may be laden with sadness, we truly are “happy” that people in this country step up when they need to! There is something powerful about communities coming together to celebrate freedom, history, and the principles that unite us. That's what America 250 is all about, after all.

Next week, our sister nonprofit, Liberty Village, will host the Summer of 250 Kickoff celebration featuring special events throughout the week and the visiting Freedom 250 truck.

These experiences are designed to educate, inspire, and create meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to connect with America’s story in memorable ways.

We are grateful for the work Liberty Village is doing to help bring history to life here in Southern Utah, and we encourage everyone to attend, participate, and support these events.
