Leaving an abusive relationship is a courageous first step, but finding a safe, stable place to call home is often one of the biggest challenges survivors face. In Utah, the need for affordable housing can make rebuilding even more difficult.

Transitional housing is more than a roof over someone’s head. It provides survivors and their children with the time, stability, and support they need to heal, regain independence, and begin building a future free from violence. From creating financial stability to finding employment and establishing a safe home, every step forward matters.

At the DOVE Center, we believe every survivor deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with safety, dignity, and hope. Through our transitional housing program, we help survivors move beyond crisis and toward a brighter, more independent future. πŸ•ŠοΈ

But we cannot do this alone. Your generosity helps provide safe housing and essential resources for survivors in Washington and Kane Counties.

πŸ’œ Your donation can help turn a temporary safe place into a lasting new beginning.

Why does Greater St. George need DOVE Center?

Because safety should never depend on whether someone has somewhere else to go.

For a survivor experiencing domestic violence, leaving can be complicated. They may be worried about their children, finances, housing, transportation, employment, or what will happen if their abuser finds them.

DOVE Center exists to help survivors navigate those barriers. This can mean helping them with something as seemingly simple as $25 visa gift cards for Halloween Costumes.

From safe shelter and transitional housing to case management, safety planning, advocacy, support groups, therapy, and everyday essentials, DOVE provides survivors with more than a safe place to stayβ€”we help create a path forward.

And the need is real.

Utah continues to experience significant rates of intimate partner violence, with 1 in 3 Utah women experiencing IPV during their lifetime.

Every survivor deserves the opportunity to feel safe, regain independence, and heal.

Your donation helps make that opportunity possible right here in Greater St. George.

When you give to DOVE, you're not just giving money.

You're giving safety. You're giving hope. You're helping someone believe that a different life is possible. πŸ’œ

Awareness is powerful. Action changes lives. πŸ’œ

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, you may see purple ribbons, statistics, educational posts, and stories about domestic violence.

But awareness should not stop at a post.

It should move us to action. This year we celebrated the following at our Volunteer and Donor Appreciation:
Volunteer of the year: Morgan Drake
Community Service: Janice Brooks
Community Partner: Blvd Homes
Joe Gibbons Legacy Award: George and Marti Graff

Action looks like believing survivors.
Action looks like learning the warning signs.
Action looks like teaching young people what healthy relationships look like.
Action looks like creating safe workplaces and communities.
Action looks like supporting organizations that are there when someone needs help.

At DOVE Center, your generosity helps provide critical programs and services for survivors across the Greater St. George area.

Your donation helps put resources directly into the hands of people working to rebuild their lives after violence.

You can help provide safety.
You can help provide stability.
You can help provide hope.

Not all abuse leaves a bruise.

Domestic violence can include physical violence, but it can also look like:

🚩 Controlling who someone sees or where they go
🚩 Constantly monitoring their phone, location, or communication
🚩 Isolating someone from friends and family
🚩 Controlling money or access to finances
🚩 Threatening, intimidating, or humiliating someone
🚩 Coercing someone into sexual activity
🚩 Making someone feel afraid to disagree or say no

Sometimes the signs are subtle. Sometimes they are hidden behind closed doors.

That's why education matters.

When we know what abuse can look like, we are better equipped to recognize it, respond with compassion, and connect someone with help.

DOVE Center is here for survivors in the Greater St. George areaβ€”but we cannot do this work alone.

Your donation helps provide the resources, advocacy, safety, and support survivors need to begin building a life beyond abuse.

This DVAM, learn the signs. Share what you learn. And help make sure survivors know they are not alone. πŸ’œ

Here in Utah, 1 in 3 women experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Behind that statistic are mothers, fathers, children, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and people we pass every day.

Domestic violence can happen in any community, regardless of age, income, background, or relationship status. And in the Greater St. George area, survivors need somewhere safe to turn.

That is where DOVE Center comes in.

DOVE provides safety, shelter, advocacy, case management, support, education, and resources to help survivors move from surviving to healing. Your support makes those services possible.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, don't just be aware. Be part of the solution.

πŸ’œ Donate.
πŸ’œ Learn the warning signs.
πŸ’œ Support survivors.
πŸ’œ Help make Greater St. George a safer community for everyone.

Your donation goes directly toward programs that support survivors on their journey toward safety and healing.

Domestic violence can affect anyone. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience physical violence, sexual violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

Behind every statistic is a person β€” a survivor, a family, a friend, a coworker, or someone in our community who may need support. Knowing the signs matters. Listening without judgment matters. Believing survivors matters. And creating a community where people feel safe asking for help matters.

πŸ’œ Domestic Violence Awareness Month is about more than raising awareness β€” it’s about celebrating the people who make hope possible.

At the DOVE Center, October is a time to recognize and thank the incredible donors and volunteers who stand beside survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout the year.

This year, we’re inviting our supporters to see exactly where your generosity goes. From safe shelter and transitional housing to advocacy, case management, therapy, safety planning, support groups, and the everyday essentials that help survivors rebuild their lives β€” your support makes each of these services possible.

Every dollar donated. Every hour volunteered. Every resource provided. Every person who chooses to stand with survivors makes a difference. πŸ’œ

πŸ’œ One gift each month. A lifetime of hope for a survivor.

When someone escapes domestic violence, they often leave with nothing but the clothes they're wearing. Your monthly donation helps ensure survivors and their children have the essentials they need to rebuild their lives safely.

✨ $25/month provides gas so a survivor can get to work, court hearings, or medical appointments.
🐾 $50/month helps provide safe pet boarding so beloved pets aren't left behind with an abuser.
πŸ›’ $100/month helps provide groceries and diapers for a survivor and their children for an entire week.

Your recurring gift creates reliable, year-round support that allows DOVE Center to respond immediately when families need safety, shelter, advocacy, and hope.

Every month, you become part of a survivor's journey from crisis to healing.

πŸ’œ Join our Circle of Hope by becoming a monthly donor today. Together, we can ensure no survivor has to face abuse alone.
