We get asked all the time about the plants in our St. Francisville Beautiful beds, so we’re continuing our feature.

Gaura. This stellar native adds a soft, wispy texture that moves beautifully in the landscape, with tall, airy flower spikes that really stand out in the bed. Bees absolutely love it, making it a great choice for supporting pollinators. We have the white variety in our beds, but it’s also available in several shades of pink if you’re looking to mix in a little color.

We get asked all the time about the plants in our St. Francisville Beautiful beds, so we’re starting to highlight a few favorites.

Mystic Spires Blue salvia. This hardworking plant thrives in full sun but can handle partial shade. It’s a magnet for pollinators and hummingbirds, bringing steady activity to the garden. For best performance, remove spent blooms when the plant starts to look tired to encourage a fresh flush of flowers. You can expect blooms from May all the way until the first frost.

Lecture only tickets can be picked up at Jackson Hall beginning at 1:30 pm. We still have spots open and take cash at the door! Plant sale at the farmers market barn until 5pm!

It is not too late! Spend a Saturday with us in St. Francisville and support 4-H scholarships, school gardens, and town beautification projects. Join the Garden Stroll at 8:00 am, the lunch at The St. Francisville Inn at noon, and the Lecture Series at 2:00 pm in Jackson Hall. The plant sale will go on from 8 am - 5 pm (free to the public). We will accept cash at the door!
