Our Forever Foster Girl
Some dogs don’t come to us broken because they’re aggressive…
some come broken because they were never shown gentle love.
For the first years of Ginger’s life, the world taught her to be afraid.
Even now, after 5 years with us, she still startles easily and keeps her distance from most people.
But little by little… she chose trust.
She chose safety.
She chose us.
Ginger may never be the dog that runs up to strangers or begs for attention — and that’s okay. Her healing doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.
She has learned how to rest peacefully.
She has learned what kindness feels like.
And most importantly… she has learned how to love in her own quiet way.
Michelle is the one person Ginger fully lets into her heart. Watching her gently lean in for pets after everything she’s been through is one of the most beautiful things we’ve witnessed.
Not every rescue story ends with adoption.
Sometimes love means becoming their forever safe place. 🩵🐾
