The Heart Revival

The Heart Revival The Heart Revival (founded by Meg Lucks) is a decade-long journey of creating spaces for belonging through meditation, movement, and community.

From local roots to global retreats, the work continues to evolve, rooting i to a commitment to connection. The Evolution of a Heart-Centered Mission by Meg Lucks

Over the past decade, The Heart Revival has grown from a personal calling into a living, breathing community. Since 2011, my work has centered on creating spaces of belonging through meditation, sharing circles, and embodied practice. I

n 2017, this expanded into local mindfulness-based weekend retreats and the beginnings of international retreat offerings, rooted in intentional, sustainable travel that supports local communities, small businesses, and meaningful cultural exchange. That same year, I co-founded a top-rated Yoga Teacher Training School in collaboration with Healium Yoga MKE, deepening the pathway for others to teach and lead. When the vision of acquiring a retreat center did not come to fruition, a new expression emerged. In 2019, The Heart Revival Center for Belonging opened in St Francis, becoming a hub for compassionate gathering, practice, and support. Now, the mission is evolving once again. In June 2026, the physical space will transition to new stewardship as The Heart Center for Yoga with senior teacher Rachael Holmes, continuing its role as a place of practice and connection. In February 2027, international retreats will move into partnership with senior teacher Vanessa Weber of Soulflow Journeys, expanding their reach and impact. As these branches extend, The Heart Revival returns to its essence. It/ I am no longer rooted in one place, but moving with greater mobility, collaboration, and possibility. I will continue educating, leading sacred retreats, tending spaces and communities in new ways, allowing this work to be a direct reflection of a dreaming, evolving heart.

Into the Dark: A Fall Equinox Yoga Nidra
Facilitated by Meg Lucks

Saturday, Sept 19th, 10:30-12pm
Heart Center for Yoga

An invitation to pause and to turn toward the abundant dark, where we may rest and ready for what comes next!

As the days grow shorter and the natural world begins its slow turn inward, we are invited to remember that darkness needn’t be feared or overcome. It is also a necessary place of rest, nourishment, mystery, and renewal.

Just days before the Fall Equinox, join Meg Lucks for a special pop-up Yoga Nidra practice, intended to honor this seasonal threshold with gentle preparation for the turning ahead. Yoga Nidra provides direct access to wisdom and insight by way of guided rest, stillness, and spacious awareness. We will listen for what this moment is asking of us... what might be ready to be released, what will we carry forward, and what requires a bit more patience to take root.

No experience with Yoga Nidra is necessary. Come as you are, dress comfortably, and allow yourself to be held by the practice.

90 minutes, Limit 12 participants

SEPTEMBER
How We Include ALL Beings

Welcome to September, dear friends.

The turning of the season invites us to consider not only what we receive from life, but also what (and who) we sustain. The timely Third Pure Precept calls us to widen the circle of our care until there is no one outside of it. The commitment is a call toward universal compassion - to embrace and sustain all beings.

Read the Bodhisattva’s Prayer (included in full letter)

At the onset of hearing this, it can seem impossibly large, and you might find yourself asking, Really? Everyone? Even the ones who have caused great and undeniable harm? Yes. All.

We need to understand that this commitment does not ask us to like, trust, agree with, or remain in relationship with everyone and it certainly doesn’t ask us to manufacture affection. More realistically, it asks us to examine the limiting idea that says we can place some beings outside our circle of concern.

When you sit with it, your heart will tell you that its capacity for care absolutely (even most especially) includes the hard stuff. Truly, its caring capacity will always be bigger. Consider how you experience this every day when you tune into the news. No matter how bad it gets out there, some part of you remains capable of caring. I find this limitless capacity of the human heart to be astounding.

August: How We Discern

The Bodhisattva vow can easily be misunderstood as a commitment to carry the world on our shoulders, believing it is our responsibility to relieve every form of suffering we encounter. While sincere, this impulse often leaves us depleted, resentful and believing that others cannot find their own way without us. As someone who is deeply habituated to fixing, comforting, and stepping in, I continue to wrestle with a simple truth: doing good is not the same thing as doing everything. Sometimes the most compassionate response is to act, to listen, or to offer support. Sometimes right action is found in stepping back, in trusting another person’s unfolding and their innate capacity, even as we long to ease their discomfort.

July: How We DO Good

In many ways, the first half of our year has simply been about our being.

Now, at the year’s midpoint, we cross an important threshold: from being to doing. Planting a seed here with a little help from one of my great super friends, Master Yoda, “Do. Or do not. There is no try.”

Blessing for our final full day in Portugal.

May we leave with gratitude rather than grasping.

May we trust what has been planted, even if it has not yet sprouted.

May we carry home only what truly belongs to us.

May we walk forward with an open hand, an open heart, and a willingness to meet what unfolds next.

Love and gratitude to my co-pilot
