🐾 It's been a little quiet around here lately... and that's not by accident. 🐾

First, thank you to everyone who supported our coffee fundraiser. Your support means the world to us, and it helps us continue our mission of keeping veterans and their animals together.

If you've noticed we've been a bit quieter than usual, don't worry. We haven't gone anywhere.
Part of the reason for the silence is that I've been recovering from bronchitis. I'm happy to report that I'm finally feeling much better and am almost back to my normal 90%. 😁

The other reason? Behind the scenes, there have been a lot of meetings, classes, conversations, and planning sessions happening. Some opportunities have appeared that could help us make an even bigger impact for the veterans and pets we serve.

We're not quite ready to share the details yet because we want to make sure everything is official before making any announcements. But let's just say there are some exciting things brewing behind the magical curtain. ✨

For now, we're continuing to do the work, help where we can, and build for the future.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for believing in what we're building together.
Stay tuned. (Pilot has instructed us not to reveal the secrets hidden behind the curtain just yet... but he promises it'll be worth the wait.) 🐕✨❤️🐾

☕ Thank you!

Our Liberty Beans Coffee Fundraiser has wrapped up, and we’re so grateful to everyone who ordered, shared, or helped spread the word.

Because of you, we sold nearly 50 bags of coffee, 20 packs of K-Cups, and several packages of hot chocolate, earning **$430 for WTF Inc.**

That money helps us continue our mission of keeping veterans and their companion animals together.

I need to tell you about Honey.

Honey is one of our Rhode Island Red chickens, and for reasons only Honey understands, she has decided Ed is her person. (Maybe it's the red in his beard?)

When Ed is outside, she follows him around like a tiny feathered supervisor. Then she’ll run right in front of him, squat down, and wait to be picked up.

If he doesn’t pick her up?

She pecks his leg. Then she runs ahead of him and does it again. Squat, stare, peck.

This continues until Ed gives in and picks her up, which is clearly what Honey believed should have happened in the first place.

Now, some of you may be wondering, “What about you, Tami?”

Well everyone, I’m so glad you asked.

Honey did the little squat in front of me once, so I smiled, picked her up, and thought we were having a sweet little bonding moment.

We were not.

That little witch pinched my wrist with her beak and held on like a pit bull with lockjaw.

Apparently Honey is more Navy-supportive than Army-supportive.

Ed gets cuddles.

I get chicken aggression and the middle feather.

Animals all have their own personalities, and around here, they definitely keep us humble.

For PTSD Awareness Month, we're asking everyone to do something simple:

Call one person. Every day.
Not text. Not react to a post. Actually call.

Pick someone from your contacts that you haven't talked to in a while. Ask how they're doing. Catch up and listen.

Tomorrow, call someone else.

One call a day may not seem like much, but loneliness, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and life's struggles often grow in silence. Sometimes knowing that someone thought enough of you to pick up the phone can mean more than we realize.

So here's the challenge:

☎️ Call at least one person every day this month.
☎️ Encourage them to do the same.
☎️ Keep the chain going.

Imagine if hundreds of people each made one call every day. Thousands of conversations would happen that otherwise never would have.
You never know whose day, week, or even life might be changed by hearing a familiar voice.

June is PTSD Awareness Month

- About 7% of U.S. adults will experience PTSD at some point in their lives.
- Approximately 13 million Americans live with PTSD each year.
- PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed trauma, including many veterans.

For some people, healing comes through therapy, medication, family, friends, faith, or support groups. For others, a companion animal is also an important part of that journey, providing comfort, routine, and unconditional companionship on difficult days.

At Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Inc., we're committed to helping keep veterans and their animals together. Because sometimes the support we need doesn't come with words.

Some days are harder than others.

Today isn't my best day, but I'm not alone. Mr. WTF himself curled up beside me, and little Pilot is staying close, making sure I knew I was loved.

Animals have a way of knowing when we need them most. They don't ask questions, they don't try to fix everything. They simply show up as a warm body pressed against your side, a gentle nudge, or a quiet presence that says, "I'm here."

For us at WTFInc., and many other veterans and others facing difficult days... like illness, suffering from depression, PTSD, or stressful situations, etc., that companionship can make all the difference. Sometimes healing isn't found in words. Sometimes it's found in four paws, and a friend who refuses to leave your side.

Today, I'm grateful for mine. ❤️🐾
