This Veterans Day, join The Long Walk Home at Maxine Barrett Park in Venice, FL for their Walkathon โ€” an event with a purpose far greater than simply taking a walk.

Walkathon serves three important goals:
โค๏ธ Create Awareness โ€” Bring attention to the challenges many of our veterans face and the importance of making sure no one feels like they have to walk their journey alone.
๐Ÿค Connect & Enroll โ€” Help reach more veterans and individuals who can benefit from our life-saving program and become part of a community that cares.
๐Ÿ’™ Raise Funds โ€” Every dollar raised helps us expand our reach, grow our programs, and ultimately change more lives and save more lives.

The Long Walk Home is committed to being there for those who have served and for the families and communities that stand beside them. This Veterans Day, let's come together to show our veterans that their journey matters, their lives matter, and they are never alone.

The Independent Motorcyclist Association (IMA) is proud to host their annual event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the PTSD Awareness Summit โ€” and this year, theyโ€™re bringing the ride to the Ohio Valley!

๐Ÿ“ Starting Point: American Legion Post 3 โ€” Moundsville, WV
๐Ÿ•› First Bike Out: 12:00 PM

Our ride will travel through the Ohio Valley, making stops at:
๐Ÿ American Legion Post 18 โ€” Cameron, WV
๐Ÿ American Legion Post 28 โ€” New Martinsville, WV
๐Ÿ Then back to American Legion Post 3 in Moundsville, WV

But the day doesn't end when the bikes roll back in!

September gives us an opportunity to shine a brighter light on su***de prevention, but at The IGY6; Foundation, su***de prevention isnโ€™t just a September conversation โ€” itโ€™s something we believe in every single day.

Every day, we have the opportunity to check in.
Every day, we have the opportunity to listen.
Every day, we have the opportunity to remind someone that they matter.
Every day, we have the opportunity to make a difference.

Sometimes prevention starts with a simple:
โ€œHow are you really doing?โ€
โ€œIโ€™m here for you.โ€
โ€œYou donโ€™t have to face this alone.โ€

We encourage everyone to check on your friends, your family, your battle buddies, your coworkers, and even the person who always seems to have it together.
Donโ€™t be afraid to ask the difficult questions. A conversation can save a life.
