NALC Branch 388 Brothers and Sisters,

The NALC election is upon us to determine the national officers for the next 4 years. This year’s election is very unique as every single national position on our ballots is contested. Ballots are being mailed out between September 18th to the 28th. If you do not receive a ballot by Oct 5, you should contact the NALC Membership Department to request a replacement ballot. The Membership Department can be reached by telephone at 202-393-4695. The deadline to contact the Membership Department is 4 p.m. Eastern time on Oct 9. To be counted, ballots must be received by noon on Oct. 19. The counting of ballots will begin that day or the next.

NALC and the Postal Service have agreed to a moratorium on the time limits for the processing of all grievances at the local, regional, and national levels due to NALC’s 74th Biennial National Convention to be held in Los Angeles, CA, the week of Aug. 3. The 31-day moratorium will begin on Saturday, July 25 conclude on Monday, Aug. 24.
