From local robotics club… to the World Championship in Missouri.

Through the PMMI U Skills Fund, the PMMI Foundation recently matched support from Multi-Conveyor to help the Winneconne Robotics Club middle school team compete on the world stage at VexRobotics.

This is exactly what the PMMI U Skills Fund is designed to do - help connect industry support with meaningful student opportunities that build hands-on STEM, robotics, and problem-solving skills.

Your GPA is not the only thing that defines your future.

Curiosity, problem solving, teamwork, and hands-on experience are often what truly set people apart. Some of the most valuable skills cannot be learned only in a classroom - they are developed through building, testing, failing, improving, and learning by doing.

That’s one of the reasons PACK Challenge exists. It gives high school students the opportunity to tackle a real-world packaging problem and experience what engineering, manufacturing, automation, sales, and teamwork actually look like in practice.

Competitions like this help transform an interest in STEM into real, applicable skills that students can carry into future internships, interviews, education pathways, and careers. They also help students explore whether a trade school, technical program, 2-year degree, or 4-year university path is the right fit for them.

Beyond the competition itself, PACK Challenge connects students with local packaging and processing companies - giving them exposure to industry professionals, facility visits, mentorship opportunities, and potential future careers.

Real impact happens when industry and education come together.

Whether you’re part of a robotics team, PACK Challenge team, or another STEM program, industry mentors and sponsors can help provide real-world insight, career connections, and support to help your team learn and grow.

PACK Challenge teams even have the opportunity to be paired with mentors from companies in the packaging and processing industry - creating valuable connections between students and professionals.

Through the PMMI U Skills Fund, the PMMI Foundation recently matched Integrated Packaging Machinery's support of Paradise Teams, helping students gain hands-on STEM experiences and connect their skills to future careers in manufacturing and engineering.
