CommunityGiving

CommunityGiving CommunityGiving is a network of community foundations united together to create efficiencies that maximize the impact of our donors.

With our partner foundations in 16 communities, we administer over 1,200 charitable funds totaling nearly $240 million. CommunityGiving unites foundations, including Alexandria, Brainerd, Carver County, Paynesville, St. Cloud and Willmar, MN and Derby, KS, under a single framework to create efficiencies that maximize the impact of our donors. We work closely with a network of volunteers, donors, n

We join the Central Minnesota Community Foundation in remembering and honoring the life of Jack Happe — a generous philanthropist, dedicated volunteer, and community leader whose impact will be felt for years to come.

Jack’s commitment to giving back helped strengthen not only Central Minnesota Community Foundation, but also the broader work of CommunityGiving and the many communities we serve together. Through his leadership, generosity, and belief in the power of philanthropy, he helped create meaningful change that will continue well into the future.

We are deeply grateful for the example he set and the legacy he leaves behind.

From growing up during the depression to becoming a philanthropic leader within Central Minnesota, Jack Happe has been building his legacy one charitable gift at a time. Watch the video […]

Who's ready for EmpowerCF next week?

Following the conference, there is an additional education opportunity for you with CFLeads on Thursday, April 23rd from 2:00-5:00pm.

Building Common Ground: Community Leadership in Action
Finding common ground to address issues that concern all Minnesotans—from fostering respectful civic engagement to ensuring rural belonging, addressing climate change, and building safe, welcoming and sustainable communities—looms over every challenge we currently face. As catalysts for community leadership, community foundations have concrete tools they can bring to this work, including connecting local priorities to broader frameworks for impact.

Drawing on innovative practices from Minnesota and beyond—including work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—this interactive session will explore how to use these frameworks as toolkits for building common ground and addressing complex challenges. You’ll hear real examples, engage in peer discussion, and leave with actionable ideas you can adapt to your own context.
