NEIGHBORHOOD PETITION
Our neiborhood polar pool is closed again this year due to various reasons; financial, poor city planning, "covid" and lack of staff.

Please sign the petition to help open it as a splash pad. I'm going to petition the city to get the buckets and sprinklers running. It would however mean removing the polar bear slide for safety. But at least there would be some water for the kids to play in. DON'T JUST HIT THE LIKE BUTTON. Please sign your name ASAP.

This is a gentle reminder about an upcoming event. Jump In will be a resource fair, back to school, and youth appreciation event to encourage people to volunteer or get involved in their community.
Masks, snacks and outdoor activities for youth and adults will be provided. Social distancing will be practiced.

Happy Spring Serberger Neighbors! Time to get out and do some neighborhood cleanup. Please wear work gloves when picking up trash and keep social distancing in mind. Lots of people out walking in this nice weather. Please bring a trash bag with you when head out for a walk. IF we all do a little bit - it will make a great big difference. The street sweeper should be out in the next week or so!

Hello,I'm the Stormwater Compliance Specialist for the City and am excited to announce that the City is launching a new adopt-a-stormdrain program. The Adopt-a-Drain program allows St. Cloud residents to adopt storm drains and keep them clear of sediment, trash, yard waste and debris to help keep our waterways clean.

We are looking for ways to promote and spread the word about the program during these challenging times. We would greatly appreciate any promotion you can help with.

This is an opportunity for residents to stay connected to their community, become more educated in area water quality, make a difference, work together, and get some much-needed fresh air while maintaining the social distancing measures that the current COVID-19 situation requires.

To create an account and adopt one or more drains, go to www.Adopt-a-Drain.org. Tips on how to be safe while cleaning the drains are provided. Everyone who adopts drains in the St. Cloud area will receive a yard sign, a reusable bag, and a how-to packet. Signs and welcome bags will be delivered to residents after the shelter in place directive is lifted. Adopters are also encouraged to pick-up trash in their adopted drain area as well as sharing ideas with neighbors (from a safe distance) on how to protect our waterways.

Keeping storm drains clean protects waterways from polluted stormwater runoff that flows unfiltered from our streets into local waterways. In addition to trash, road salt and chemicals, organic debris like leaves and grass clippings also threaten the health of our waters. Decaying leaves and grass that wash into storm drains release nutrients into lakes and rivers that feed excess growth of algae.
