We're excited to welcome Crystal Pace to the CentraCare Foundation team as our new Administrative Assistant!

In her role, Crystal supports the Foundation Operations Manager and Donor Engagement Director, helping advance the Foundation's work through administrative coordination, donor engagement, scholarship support, communications, and more. She brings a diverse professional background that includes administrative support in manufacturing and structural contracting, experience as a law enforcement dispatcher, and most recently, a role with CentraCare's Human Resources team.

Throughout her career, Crystal has developed strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to remain calm and adaptable in fast-paced environments. Her experience within CentraCare has also given her a deep understanding of our organization and the people we serve.

"I'm excited to be part of the Foundation team and contribute to the incredible impact made possible through the generosity of our donors and community," Crystal shared.

Outside of work, Crystal and her husband enjoy spending time with their four adult children, six-month-old grandson, extended family and friends, and their English Bulldog, Bacon. They love entertaining, meeting new people, listening to live music, working in their yard, and traveling whenever they can.

Please join us in giving Crystal a warm welcome to the Foundation team!

Every well-child visit is an opportunity to build a lifelong love of learning. Through the Reach Out & Read program, CentraCare Family Medicine and Pediatric clinics provide children ages 6 months to 5 years with a new, age-appropriate book at each well-child visit. These books help families make reading together a daily habit, strengthening early literacy skills, supporting healthy development, and creating meaningful moments of connection.

Thanks to the generosity of our community donors and CentraCare team members, providers distributed more than 23,000 books to young patients between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Each book placed in a child's hands opens the door to imagination, learning, and a brighter future.

Each year, community member DJ Janski graciously shares the beauty of her garden with patients at the Coborn Healing Center by donating fresh-cut flowers for our Art Therapy program.

Guided by Art Therapist Katie Kinzer (pictured), patients spend a special day creating floral-inspired artwork and arranging stunning bouquets. These hands-on experiences provide an opportunity for self-expression, relaxation, and a meaningful connection to nature.

We are deeply grateful to DJ for her kindness and generosity year after year. Her thoughtful gift brightens more than just our therapy space. It uplifts spirits, sparks creativity, and touches the hearts of everyone who receives it.

Thank you, DJ, for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Thank You, Lisa, and your community, for the generous donation of 74 Cancer Support Bags!

We are incredibly grateful to Lisa and the wonderful Pierz-area community for their generous donation of these Cancer Support Bags for our patients.

Each year, Lisa leads a community project that is close to her heart, bringing people together to raise funds and create thoughtful care packages for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Thanks to the compassion and generosity of so many community members, each bag is filled with comforting items such as handmade lap blankets, cozy socks, tissues, crossword puzzles, skin moisturizers, and other essentials designed to provide comfort during a difficult journey.

These support bags are much more than care packages. They are tangible reminders that our patients are surrounded by kindness, encouragement, and a community that cares. Every item reflects the love, support, and dedication of those who contributed to this meaningful effort.

Thank you, Lisa, and everyone involved, for making a lasting difference in the lives of our patients. Your generosity brings comfort, hope, and the reassuring message that no one faces cancer alone.

CentraCare Community Paramedics recently partnered with Project H.E.A.L. (Health, Education, Access, Link) to provide CPR and AED training for residents and staff at Lincoln Center, temporary shelter facility in St. Cloud.

About 15 individuals attended the training, where they learned hands-only CPR techniques and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants appreciated the opportunity to gain practical, lifesaving skills, hands-on experience and the confidence to respond during medical emergencies.

Through Project H.E.A.L. and funding from the CentraCare Foundation, AED supplies were purchased for three newly installed grant-funded AEDs at Lincoln Center, Place of Hope and the St. Cloud COP House. These resources help ensure residents and staff have access to critical emergency equipment when it is needed most.

“This training gives staff and residents the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency,” said Julia Gordon, CentraCare Community Resource Liaison. “We hope the CPR skills learned are never needed, but it is reassuring to know the training and equipment are available if they are.”

The initiative reflects CentraCare’s commitment to improving community health and empowering people with the tools and resources that can help save lives.

Project H.E.A.L. provides free clinics and nurse- and community paramedic-led health services at local shelters. CentraCare Community Paramedic Carmen Carlson works at shelters three days each week, offering follow-up care and care coordination while helping individuals experiencing homelessness connect with primary care and other health resources. Project H.E.A.L. also partners with CentraCare – Coordinated Care Clinic to provide primary care, mental health services, medication management and post-incarceration continuity of care.
