Equipping Churches from Eastern Europe to Central Asia with Theological Resources in their own language.

READ Ministries will provide excellent support to ministries of evangelism and discipleship in Eurasia. The support for these ministries will be developed in conjunction with our partner ministries and accomplished by methods and programs consistent with the vision of READ such as the following:

Training Church leaders in using books and other media to further develop their own faith. Providing printed and electronic forms of media to Christian workers and Church
leaders. Assisting churches in creating and maintaining lending libraries of Christian media. Providing evangelism and discipleship resources for Christian workers and churches
ministering in orphanages, jails, drug and addiction rehabilitation houses and
other social outreach programs. Providing Christian media through the most effective distribution channels
possible.

🎉 Welcome to the READ team, Dr. Oleksander Lavrynenko!

Oleksandr joins as our Foreign Projects Assistant, bringing a PhD in linguistics and translation, extensive teaching experience, and professional experience translating theological works. Since 2015, he has served as Director of International Partnerships and Advancement at Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary, building strong skills in fundraising, project management, and organizational development. He's also active in ministry at New Life Church in Kyiv.

READ was honored to participate in the national chaplain forum in Kyiv September 4-5 by providing each participant with chaplain training resources. 400 Evangelical Baptist chaplains attended this forum and received a copy of the recently-published, first-ever Chaplaincy textbook in Ukrainian language. They also received a sample of The Heart of a Chaplain in Ukrainian - a textbook we plan to publish electronically in 2027 in partnership with Українська євангельська теологічна семінарія, Kyiv Theological Seminary - Київська богословська семінарія and the Marsh Institute for Chaplains. Our colleagues from the Marsh Institute for Chaplains are on the ground in Ukraine to teach at Kyiv Theological Seminary - Київська богословська семінарія and participate in a national chaplain forum with expected attendance of 400+. So great to see Michael Langston, co-author of Chaplaincy, holding a copy of the Ukrainian version that READ helped get published last year.
