The Holidays are tough and we are here to help! We are lucky and so blessed to have received donations to our non profit where we will be able to train and place another one of our dogs to a victim of domestic violence or a veteran or first responder. We were also able to help some prior survivors with these donations.

I normally don’t post unless it is dog related and this is dog related so here we go….A few days ago Blue Shield Malinois LLC was invited out to Decision Tactical FL to work Jericho in some role playing “life or death environments.” It has been over ten years since I went to the academy and six since I was a cop. None of what I have now would have been possible without Steve Kelley. As a leader, teacher, mentor, friend, father figure, spiritual leader; he has always motivated me to do better. At times, I have let him down but only to learn powerfully from my mistakes to help others to never get into certain situations or how to recover from them as safely and quickly as possible. Working along side of him again was somewhat emotional and brought back memories and adrenaline. The people I met at Decision Tactical are the best of the best and have the passion and skill set to help not only law enforcement and military but your average citizen in life and death situations.

I believe everything happens for a reason. I might not be in law enforcement anymore but the dogs that we are training and producing are saving lives and I am doing what I love!

A very special non profit doggie, Kona, was reunited with her mommy after her mommy had extensive back surgery and leg surgery. We took great care of Kona and even worked on more training while her mommy was in the hospital! We will be looking for a new person to help this year! Today many years ago, was the worst/best day of my life. I was able to get out of a horrible situation which allowed me to start this non-profit to help people who need strength. At times, this non profit is hard for me….talking to other survivors or current victims creates memories and triggers that I myself have tried to bury. I want you to know this….verbal, physical, sexual abuse is not love. Many people stay with their abuser because of kids, animals, finances, or they believe they deserve it and they are the problem. The hardest step is to get out. I promise you once you get out you will be able to find yourself and true love. There is someone out there that will not call you names, will not cheat on you with coworkers or friends…get out of your cage and remeber no one should ever feel like they are not worth living. I never thought I would get over or past what I went through but everything after I got out was true love and happiness.
