Please help me congratulate our very own USA Swimming Official, Clara Rivera, who was one of only two Officials recognized at Florida Swimming’s annual banquet ceremony! 🏆This is quite an honor to be nominated and selected for this award, which is a testament to how hard she works and how other Officials truly enjoy serving with her! Clara volunteers her time as stroke and turn Official at nearly every swim meet our team attends and also helps to train other Officials. Clara’s dedication helps to ensure swim meets are held in a fair and consistent manner. Her willingness to volunteer so often allows our team to be invited back by many host teams. From all of the Thunderbolts Board and Coaching Staff, we appreciate you, Clara! 👏

We are always looking for new volunteers so if you’d like to see what Officiating is all about and how you can help out your local swim team, please come see Stacy or Clara.

The MVP 🏆of the 2026 State Games of America swimming competition… Jane Steele👏
For weeks, she worked many long days and late nights to prep the meet entries in advance of the event. Then she worked 3 full days running the meet timing and results program…all of this was time happily volunteered!
She stepped up when others were unwilling. Her hard work ensured the meet was run smoothly and that our swimmers were able to compete in this national level event. She also made sure the swimmers got the recognition they deserved. Thank you, Jane! You should have received the gold!🥇
