Do you have your Summer campfire buddy yet? You need Lori!
Lori needs you.
We have been fostering Lori for Midwest Animal Rescue
(MARS) but she is ready for her forever home. Learn more at www.midwestanimalrescue.org

Meet Lori – Your Next Adventure Partner

Some dogs are couch potatoes.
Lori is not that dog.

At about a year old, Lori (formerly Zibu) was renamed in honor of Lori Piestewa a Native American woman soldier and she lives up to the name with spirit, toughness, and a love for the journey.

Her perfect day?
An early start, a long hike, hours of play with dog friends, a few sprints just for fun, maybe another run… and then finally crashing on the couch (briefly) before asking what’s next.

Breed? Unknown—but she looks like a Pharaoh Hound, has the energy of a Belgian Malinois, and the heart of a Golden Retriever.

Why Lori stands out:
   •   Loves people and thrives on attention
   •   Dog-friendly and very playful
   •   Built for adventure—hikes, travel, new environments
   •   Great in the car (crate or backseat for hours)
   •   Housebroken and does well in both homes and hotels

The honest part:
   •   She has a lot of energy—this is not a casual dog
   •   A little shy at first, but warms up quickly
   •   Recall is improving… unless a squirrel is involved
   •   Can be vocal when excited
   •   Cats… she’s very interested but safe.

Lori has been evaluated for detection work, but her path is clear—she’s meant to be someone’s adventure partner, not a working dog.

Her perfect match?
An active person who wants a dog to do life with—hiking, running, traveling, exploring.

Lori isn’t for everyone.
But for the right person, she’s an incredible dog who will give you everything she’s got.
