Step into the shadows for an evening of spine-tingling satire and classic macabre! The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show brings the master of horror back from the dead—literally. Hosted by the ghost of Poe himself, this hilarious and haunting live performance reimagines "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Raven," "The Fall of the House of Usher," and more with vintage-style sound effects and dramatic commercials!

Theatre In the Cloud is seeking a talented ensemble of 6 actors for our upcoming production of The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show!

​Audition Date: July 26th, 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Location: VFW Post 3227, 915 New York Avenue, Saint Cloud, FL 34769

​About the Show

When Edgar Allan Poe sets out to keep his stories alive from beyond the grave, an otherworldly radio studio proves to be just the thing. In this haunting and hilarious dark comedy, wandering spirits gather to perform some of Poe’s most iconic works—including The Cask of the Amontillado, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Raven, and The Tell-Tale Heart.

​Casting Needs

​Edgar Allan Poe

​The Cat (a skeptical, talking feline companion; puppeteering skills are a major plus!)

​Announcer/ Foley Artist

​Various Players/ Ensemble (who take on the roles of characters in Poe’s stories, such as Fortunato, Roderick Usher, and others)

​Performance & Rehearsal Schedule

​Rehearsals: Will take place on Sundays.

​Performances: October 11th (3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) and October 18th (3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.).

​Audition Details & Requirements

​Preparation: Please be prepared to audition with a reading from the scripts. If you can, please prepare an Edgar Allan Poe poem.

​Volunteer Note: Please note that this is a non-paid volunteer production.

🎭 Big News for Theatre In the Cloud! 🎭

​We are entering a new chapter, and we want YOU to be a part of it! As we navigate our future, transparency and community support are at the heart of everything we do.

​We’re officially moving forward with a renewed vision. While we are no longer partnered with the city, this is only the beginning. We are excited to announce that we are returning to the VFW as our temporary home, and we have big plans for securing more venues to keep the arts alive and thriving in St. Cloud.

​We invite our supporters, partners, and community members to join the Theatre In the Cloud (TITC) Board of Directors for an important conversation about our path forward.
