Minnesota’s SAGE Screening Program has expanded cervical cancer screening eligibility to women beginning at age 21.
Eligible uninsured and underinsured patients may receive cervical cancer screening and related diagnostic services through SAGE. For most women ages 21–29, a Pap test is recommended every three years—not every year—when results are normal.
Aslan Health can help you understand the guidelines, determine whether you qualify, and schedule your screening.

Can going to church support better health?
Research suggests that regular participation in a faith community may be associated with better mental, physical, and social well-being. Community, purpose, hope, supportive relationships, and healthier ways of coping may all play a role.
Church attendance is not a substitute for medical care, and illness is never evidence of weak faith. But a loving faith community can help people feel supported and less alone.
Read our latest blog to learn what the research found and what it does—and does not—prove.

Do you really need all those vitamins and supplements?
For most generally healthy people, the answer is no. A varied, nutrient-rich diet can usually provide what your body needs—and taking excessive or overlapping supplements can cause nausea, nerve damage, medication interactions, liver or kidney problems, and other serious complications.
At Aslan Health, we have cared for patients who became sick because of the number or amount of supplements they were taking. Remember: supplements are not approved by the FDA for safety or effectiveness before they reach store shelves, and “natural” does not always mean safe.
Before adding another pill, gummy, or powder, ask whether you truly need it. Bring your supplements to your next appointment, and we can help you review them.

🍬 Could the sugar we consume early in life affect our cancer risk decades later?
New research suggests that lower sugar exposure during pregnancy and the first years of life may be associated with a lower risk of developing cancer before age 50.
The findings highlight something we believe strongly at Aslan Health: prevention starts long before illness appears. Healthy nutrition, regular screenings, physical activity, and good primary care can all play a role in protecting our long-term health.
Read our latest blog to learn what researchers discovered—and what it could mean for you and your family.

Perimenopause can start earlier than you think—and the signs aren't always obvious.
Irregular periods, trouble sleeping, hot flashes, mood changes, brain fog, weight changes, and vaginal symptoms can all be part of the transition toward menopause.
These changes are common, but that doesn't mean you have to simply live with symptoms that affect your daily life. Understanding what's happening is an important first step, and a healthcare provider can help you determine what may be causing your symptoms and discuss options that fit your needs.
Read our latest blog to learn more about perimenopause, the symptoms to watch for, and when it's time to talk with a provider.

Affordable healthcare should still be excellent healthcare.
At Aslan Health, we don't believe there should be one standard of care for people with great insurance and another for people without it.
Affordable doesn't have to mean cheap. It can mean designing healthcare differently—using resources wisely, removing unnecessary costs, and keeping the focus where it belongs: on the patient.
Our goal is simple: provide the kind of compassionate, excellent care we would want for ourselves and our own families.
Because your ability to pay should never determine how much dignity you deserve.

Affordable healthcare should never mean lower-quality healthcare.
At Aslan Health, we aren't trying to provide a lesser version of medicine for people with fewer resources. Our goal is to provide excellent healthcare that anyone would want to receive—at a price more people can afford.
You don't have to prove you're poor. You don't have to consider yourself “in need.” And you don't have to settle for less because cost matters to your family.
We want Aslan to be a clinic you choose because the care is excellent, the price is clear, and you are treated with dignity.
Excellent medicine. Accessible prices. Caring for our Neighbors.
