At our regular business meeting on Sunday, the WVU Medicine North Region Critical Care and Trauma Institute recognized members of the Barton Fire Department, the Wolfhurst Fire Department, and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office for outstanding care rendered to two separate patients who were critically injured at two unrelated incidents. This is one small example of how members of different organizations can work together to provide high-quality care to critically injured patients.
