Throwback Thursday | Chantel Carranza

This week’s Campton United Alumni Spotlight is Chantel Carranza, who played at Campton from 2013–2018.

Chantel went on to play at St. Charles East High School from 2014–2018 and continued her soccer career at Grand Valley State University from 2018–2022. Today, she teaches Algebra I as a Special Education teacher at St. Charles East High School, serves as the JV2 head coach for both the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, and has also helped coach the Campton Cubbies.

One of Chantel’s most memorable moments from her Campton years was getting to play alongside her younger sister, Alondra. The two were able to play together at Campton and again in high school, which made those years especially meaningful for both their family and their soccer journey.

We’re proud to recognize Chantel and all she has accomplished, and we’re grateful she is part of the Campton United story.

What’s Up Wednesday: Upcoming Events at Forge Soccer Club

Forge families, there’s a lot coming up as we head into summer. From tryouts to camps, beginner programs, and tournament play, here’s what’s on the calendar:

Team Selections & Tryouts
May 18–21
Player evaluations for Fox Valley Forge SC teams. Certified coaches will lead skill evaluations, decision-making and character trait assessments, and game-based evaluations to help place players across the right age groups and levels.

Campton Fútbol Foundations
Saturdays, May 9–June 13
A six-week beginner-level Saturday program presented by Campton United at Dean & Peck Park. Designed for boys and girls in Kindergarten–3rd grade who want to learn the game or keep building their skills.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 12:00–1:00 PM
2nd & 3rd Grade: 1:30–2:30 PM
Cost: $150 for the 6-week session + $70 one-time uniform fee.

Advantage Soccer Academy Summer Camp
June 16–July 23
Six weeks of high-quality summer training presented by Advantage Soccer Academy in partnership with Forge Soccer Club. Open to players U7–U19, grouped by age and level.
Sessions run Tuesday–Thursday, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM on turf at our Forge West building in St. Charles. Includes 18 training sessions, player insurance, and an Advantage Nike Dri-FIT training tee.

3v3 Live Tournament
Saturday, June 27 at 9:00 AM
A fast, fun, competitive small-sided tournament hosted by Forge at James O. Breen Park in St. Charles. Open to boys and girls U6–U19, plus an Adult Men’s Division. Teams get a 4-game guarantee in one day, with elite, competitive, and developmental brackets.

Whether your player is just getting started, looking to grow, or ready to compete, there’s a place to jump in.

2014 Girls Navy Mother’s Day Weekend Comeback Win

A comeback win to wrap up Mother’s Day weekend.

2014 Girls Navy battled back, stayed composed, and finished strong. Great work by the girls and a big thank you to the families who were there supporting from the sidelines.

A little late, but still worth saying: we’re thankful for the moms in our soccer community and everything they bring to the season.

Great job, 2014 Girls Navy.
