Steph, with alot of help from the gang (M Bruno, Jeff, Michele, Monica L and Alma), led a 47 mile ride out to beautiful Lake Holiday. It was a great day for a ride inspite of our little detour and some busy traffic coming back.

Clearly Steph needs some help with selfie photos. Ooops - she even forgot to take photos of Lake Holiday.

Thank you to everyone for helping me with this little detour and to Fred for a great route. The route will be posted in the Club library.

Friday was a great day to be out on the bike! Steph G led FVBSC members Barb, Patti, Monica M, Michele, Gene L and Tony on a casual trail ride from The Depot in East Dundee to Crystal Lake and back. Steph toured the group through Three Oaks and Tony led everyone over to take a peek at the rollers. Hello Spring!

Apple Cider Century 2025 . . . club members Michele S, Terri B and Steph G decided this was the year to give this invitational a try and drove down to Three Oaks Michigan.

The weekend started Saturday with a stroll through New Buffalo, roof top dinner at the Stray Dog, and the Apple Cider Century packet pick up complete with fresh apple cider, handpicked apples and a vendor fair followed by an Ice Cream Social and visit to check out the Journeyman Distillery – 18 hole putting green, bags, fire pits and yummy beverages.

Sunday’s ride option was 75 miles so they could slow the pace a bit and take in all the country roads, tree lined rollers, a ride by the lake and chat it up with fellow cyclists at the rest stops. The day ended with smiles and a trip back to the Journeyman for dinner – just had to enjoy the atmosphere there one more time before heading back to reality.

Now that they have a feel for the ride, next year’s option just might be the full 100 miles . . . and they hope more club members will join in the fun! (Jeff N - thanks for talking this ride up- you are right, it's an amazing event.)
