Please vote on August 4th and preserve our local history.

and your vote is the future of the past. This August 4, the Castle Museum millage renewal will appear as Proposal 2 on the ballot. For just .1997 mills, the smallest millage in the county, we provide so much. Money well spent, a past well-preserved. That's smart.

Thank you to Carey and Brian Kutz for bringing a beautiful Diamond Dotz Art patriotic picture to the Museum yesterday. It was made by Brian’s Dad, Ken Kutz. Both Ken and Diana Kutz were well known in our community. This beautiful picture will look perfect in the military section of the Museum. Our sincere condolences to the Kutz family.

Hey guys, it’s me, Mocha!! I’ve gotta hurry cause a volunteer left her phone in my cage and I don’t want her to know that I know how to use it!! 🤫

But listen, we’ve got a big problem here at the rescue - all the cats are so upset!!

Here’s what happened: on Monday a friend came to visit with Baby the dog, and when they were out in the yard Baby told her that the dogs were SUPER low on dog food (which was true, but for the record, the cats were just as low.) So anyway, she asked her friend if she could maybe post it on her page and ask her friends if they could send some dog food. And holy cow THEY DID!! The dogs got a little over 400 pounds of food because of that post!! (and she’s obviously a DOG lover, GROSS!! How many friends could she possibly have??)

So all week, the dogs have been acting SO smug about it. Like they think they’re cooler than us cats!!

It got me wondering…since they seemed to think they got some kind of MUTT MONDAY, maybe we could end the week with a FELINE FRIDAY? Show them that us cats are JUST as cool and loved as they are?? We need food and treats SO bad right now!!

What do you think? Do you think maybe you could send some our way? Do you think we could even maybe hit 400 pounds like the dogs? (Just FYI if you all go OVER that I promise I won’t lord it over the dogs. I PROMISE!! 🤭 🤞)

Well, anyway, thanks for reading all that, it was a lot for my little paws to….. ope, she’s back looking for her phone…. I’ll try to put what we need in the comments later…..gotta go!!! Bye!!
