Canines for Christ St. Augustine

Canines for Christ St. Augustine Canines for Christ is an all-volunteer missions ministry supported by Anastasia Baptist Church. Started in 2000. Johns County on a regular basis.

The organization strives to expand its impact into all areas of St. Johns County to those who are unable to do for themselves. The goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ through the warmth of well-trained, docile and loving dogs to those in nursing homes, hospice care facilities, hospitals and children's homes in St.

Our group has been around since 2000, started by a wonderful church member “Dan”. There are other Canines for Christs groups out there, which is great! Anastasia Baptist church does NOT claim to be a member or associated with any other canine group.
Some of are members are associated with other organizations.

It is a wonderful to visit the elderly/sick with the dogs, in the name of Christ! We only do SCHEDULED visits at local nursing homes/ assisted living facilities.
Due to Covid-19 a lot of facilities were closed to visits, they have started allowing visitors again.

We have started doing more visits, since October 2024.
