Coastal Marine Science - Research, Education, Support

Coastal Marine Science - Research, Education, Support Coastal Marine Science supports education and research by providing vessel support in NE Florida.

The primary mission of Coastal Marine Science (CMS) is Research, Education and Support. Our most fundamental effort is to provide vessel support for marine science students, educators, citizen and research scientists operating on both inshore and offshore waters of NE Florida. CMS operates EXPLORER as our primary marine science support vessel. EXPLORER is a diesel powered Island Hopper 30 and is o

utfitted to exceed USCG safety requirements and provides a safe, spacious, stable work platform. Daily missions are custom planned and executed to meet the project goals of the guest students, educators and scientists onboard, all under the operational supervision of a USCG licensed Master Captain. In addition to providing vessel support, CMS also provides planning, logistical and operational support as requested for ongoing and future-planned marine science programs and projects.
