🌾 Tomorrow's the night.

PechaKucha Night St. Augustine heads "on the road" for the very first time as we gather in Historic Hastings for Volume 27: Slow Down.

Before the slides advance and the stories begin, we want to take a beat and say thank you. To our incredible PK St. Augustine family, supporters, speakers, volunteers, and friends—thank you for believing in these community nights and for making the trek southwest of St. Augustine to join us in the 'Potato Capital of Florida'.

A special thank you to Future Friends and The Venue - Hastings for helping make our first PechaKucha adventure beyond city limits possible. We're excited to bring local storytelling to a community that embodies so much of what makes St. Johns County unique.

Come hungry— Hastings Coffee Co. will be serving up delicious eats, and The Venue will have beer and cocktails available throughout the evening. 🍻☕

Cash is king, but digital payments and donations will also be accepted.

We're looking forward to an evening of stories, connection, and community in one of the county's most authentic and historic places.

See you tomorrow, Hastings. 🌾✨

Two weeks from today, PechaKucha St. Augustine travels to in Hastings — and we’re working hard to keep this inspiring community event free and accessible to everyone.

We’ve already raised $500 toward our $1,500 goal, and every donation — big or small — truly helps cover event costs and keep the lights on for creativity, storytelling, and connection in our community.

If PechaKucha has ever inspired you, introduced you to someone new, or simply given you a great night out, we’d be so grateful for your support🖤💛

KEEP IT FREE. Help PechaKucha St. Augustine raise $1,500.00!

We run on 20 slides × 20 seconds — and zero admission. PechaKucha Night has always been free and open to everyone in our community, and we want to keep it that way. Our volunteer team works for free, but events cost money: insurance, security, sound, lights, video, and everything that makes the night run.

To keep our next event free to the public, we need to raise $1,500. Every single dollar goes straight to event expenses — nothing else.

💛 $5, $10, $25 — it all adds up. Hit the link below to donate, or just share this post. Spreading the word costs nothing and means everything.

🌾 Volume 27: Slow Down
🗓 May 30

New artwork, a different pace.

Big love to Future Friends for the steady support behind these nights.

Slow Down can look like a lot of things—
the rhythm of a small town
space between thoughts
creative work unfolding in its own time
choosing presence over noise

Maybe it’s less about stopping, and more about noticing what’s already here.

This Pecha Kucha is incorporated with another event- the Centennial Celebration of Davis Shores- no need to live in Davis Shores to enjoy the event, everyone is welcome! But we are encouraging everyone to wear 1920's style fashion to commemorate! It's almost halloween and it's fun to lose the flip flops just once in a while in this town :)

Ever hear of a Taphophile?
You'll get to meet one on Saturday at Volume 25: Disappearing Act-
Sarah Miller, Florida Public Archaeology Network
Northeast & East Central Region Director

What is a Taphophile?
The word “taphophile” stems from the Greek words taphos (meaning tomb) and philia (meaning affinity or love). A taphophile is someone with a deep appreciation for cemeteries, gravestones, and the art, culture, and stories they represent. For many, this interest isn’t morbid but rather a celebration of history, art, and remembrance.

Don't worry, she is quite lovely and very interesting (and funny!) See you Saturday at Davis Shores Centennial Celebration Alligator Farm Only 20 tickets left, then we are sold out! THANK YOU everyone for supporting this event!
