We are a community-based Chorus performing great music! We are always looking for new singers. Please join us and attend our fantastic concerts! The St. Augustine.

Augustine Community Chorus is a mixed chorus comprised of local and regional singers. There are no audition requirements, and membership is open to all who enjoy singing sacred and secular choral music. The chorus traditionally presents three concerts a year: a holiday program including portions of Handel’s Messiah and other seasonal music; a mid-season program of popular songs and show tunes; and a spring program featuring major choral works. The concerts are held at the Cathedral Basilica and Ancient City Baptist Church, both in downtown St. Support was provided by the Tourist Development Council of St. Johns County until recently. The Chorus is now funded entirely by ticket sales, membership dues, and donations.

Wow! We are so pleased to receive this note below from esteemed composer Elaine Hagenberg whose works we are performing tomorrow night:

Dear Mr. Sanflippo and St. Augustine Community Chorus,

As you prepare to share Illuminare, "Deep Peace," and "Alleluia" on Saturday, I want to send my sincere thanks and warmest wishes.
Rooted in ancient texts, Illuminare reflects a longing for light and peace amid uncertainty, a timeless theme that has resonated across centuries. Every time a choir brings this work to life, it’s a reminder of how music can illuminate hope, and I am honored that you will be sharing it in St. Augustine.
Thank you all for the dedication and artistry you bring to this music. Wishing you a concert filled with moments of beauty, connection, and joy that linger beyond the final chord!

With gratitude,
Elaine Hagenberg
