RDMI KID’S BIBLE CHALLENGE DAY 6
HEY MOMS AND DAD AND AUNTIES AND GRANDPARENTS AND CARE GIVERS! It is ME again, Lennette and my silly friends. Here is your KID’S BIBLE CHALLENGE DAY 6.
Once Again, post this on your page. Share it with your friends. RealDeal Ministries International (Steve and Lennette Deal, Bob and Michelle Illes - RDMI Xtreme Team) loves kids.
THE CHALLENGE:
I challenge you to play this video for your amazing kids and then take time to have a discussion on what they learned. If you would like to go over the scripture references that inspired the video, the scriptures are below.
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE FOR THIS VIDEO:
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1. What was Timmy doing that was so silly? (He washed up before he got in the bath tub)
2. Why was it silly for Timmy to wash up before he got in the bathtub? (The purpose of your bath is to make you clean. You don't have to clean up twice)
3. Do we have to get all cleaned up in our hearts before we go to church? Do we have to wait until we never make mistakes to go to church? (Of course not. Church is a place where every one can come to hear about Jesus and how much he loves us.)
4. Can we talk to Jesus about our hearts at home? With our friends? With our parents? (We can talk about Jesus and to Jesus whenver we want. He is always ready to listen to us)
5. What does it mean when Timmy's mom says Jesus cleans up our heart? (When we ask Jesus to come into our hearts and forgive us of our sins or the mistakes we have made, Jesus forgives us and our heart is made clean. He loves us that much)
*See the illustration below in the prayer to ask Jesus into their heart.
MEMORY VERSE: (CHALLENGE THEM TO MEMORIZE IT)
Challenge your kids to memorize the scripture below. Pick the version you feel they will understand the most.
Pslam 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
PRAYER TO ASK JESUS IN THEIR HEART
Take the opportunity to ask your child if they have every asked Jesus into their heart. You can show them a simple ilustration to help them understand what this really means. If you have a wipe off board or mini chalkboard I want you to draw a heart. I want you to color the heart in with a black marker (if chalk just fill it in). Explain to them that all of us are born with the propensity to sin. Our hearts are sinful and we need to clean it up but we can't clean it up all on our own. We need Jesus' help. Jesus died on a cross for our sins. He didn't do anything wrong but he loved us so much that he was willing to die for us so that we could have a clean heart. If we decide to ask Jesus into our hearts he forgives us of every sin we have eer committed...everything we have ever done wrong. (Wipe all of the black/chalk out of the heart). He makes our heart clean.
Would you like to ask Jesus into your heart? Pray this with me:
"Jesus I ask that you come into my heart and forgive me of all of the bad stuff you call sin that I have done. I choose today to make you number one in my life. I want you to lead me in the right direction every day and for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name...Amen
*If your child prayed this for the very first time, please celebrate them! Be excited for them and with them. Encourage them to tell at least one person what they did today.
ASSIGNMENT OPTION 1:
Do this Science Assignment.
I did not create this one (Attribution on link below) but found it to be very fun and captivating for the child. Do the science illustration/demonstration for them and then do it a second time having them do it with you. Have them join in on the explanation. It will help them understand it more if they actually do it.
Ingredients:
You = water
Sin = water + iodine
Christ = water + bleach

ASSIGNMENT OPTION 2:
Using construction paper, have your child make a red heart, black heart, and a white heart. Make them the same size if possible. Make a simple pattern. Have them cut them out. Walk them through how Jesus cleans up our heart when we ask him to forgive us of our sins.
Our hearts before we meet Jesus - Black Heart
Our hearts covered in the blood of Jesus - Red Heart
(Place the red heart on top of the black heart)
Our hearts after we accept that Jesus died for us and shed his blood for us - white heart.
(Place the white heart over the red heart and share with them how Jesus makes our heart clean - white as snow)
