🙏 **Mission Need: Help Us Care for Children in Haiti** 🇭🇹

As part of our ongoing mission work in Haiti, we are committed to providing not only food and shelter for the children in our care, but also a safe and healthy environment that reflects Christ’s love.

Right now, we have two urgent needs at our orphanage:

🍽️ **Dining Chairs:**
Our children currently eat meals in shifts, and even then, we still do not have enough chairs for everyone. We long for the day when every child can sit together at the table, sharing a meal together.
🧼 **Kitchen Shelves for Hygiene & Sanitation:**
We are also in need of proper kitchen shelving to store food and supplies safely. These shelves will greatly improve sanitation and hygiene, helping us steward resources well and protect the health of the children God has entrusted to us.

We are also hoping for donations to cover the cost of shipping these items! 🙏

Your support—whether through giving, sharing, or prayer—directly impacts the daily lives of these children. Every contribution helps us move closer to a safer, more nurturing home where they can thrive.

- In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, our Hope for Haiti family remains safe—our kids and staff are doing well, and we’ve not been heavily impacted. We’re holding Jamaica and other affected communities in our prayers, asking for comfort, resilience, and relief for everyone touched by this storm.

Update- today has been a long, sad day. The visa was denied.

One of our supporters reminded us about Joseph and Moses who spent the first half, or more, of their lives in prison or the wilderness. Wandering....probably wondering why, or what Gods plan was.

But we know that behind the scenes, and in every detail, God was at work preparing them for great usefulness later in their lives🙏❤️

Denise responded with reilence and profoud faith. She writes, “Thank you for your encouragement. It is difficult to understand the meaning of the things that happen to us in this life, and yet these things often have strong links with the plan that God has for us. What is happening to me today is not a failure but rather an opportunity. I know that I can work and study hard to become a doctor. If I can't study in the United States to work in Haiti then I will study in Haiti to work in the United States, it is not the end.”

We are humbled by her courage and faith.

One of our beloved children from the village, Denise Loricin, has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend JU University in the United States on a full scholarship. This has been a long journey, taking years of effort and perseverance to reach this critical point.

Her interview with the U.S. embassy in Barbados is scheduled, and her appointment is set for 8:15 AM tomorrow morning. She likely has one chance due to recent travel bans. We kindly ask you to pray fervently for favor and success in both these crucial steps.
